As in recent years,with the rapid development of international promotion of Chinese,the demand for Chinese teaching materials is increasing day by day.However,the universal textbook and the more languages textbooks cannot meet the needs of Chinese learners in different countries.Now countries are seeking more suitable "localized" textbooks for their learners.The shortage of "localization" textbooks has become a bottleneck restricting the development of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The quantity and quality of "localized" textbooks cannot meet the needs of Chinese learners in different countries,so the research and development of localized textbooks is particularly urgent.Therefore,I took the local textbook Experiencing Chinese(Thai version)as an example,combined with three months of teaching experience in Chuan Dang middle school in Thailand,and analyzed six books used by junior middle school students in this textbook to find out the localization factors in the textbook.At the same time,this paper analyzes the pronunciation,vocabulary,grammar,culture,topic,textbook capacity and exercise design of the textbooks with localization characteristics by data statistics.By classifying and sorting out,the local factors in the textbook are summarized to find out the features and shortcomings of its compilation.This paper is divided into five chapters:The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly introduces the research background,research object,research significance and purpose,and research methods.And reviews the research status,level and development trend of localized textbooks at home and abroad,summarizes the definition of "localized" textbooks and the localization features it contains,as well as the research status and research results of Experiencing Chinese.The second chapter finds out the localization factors contained in the six junior middle school textbooks of Experiencing Chinese(Thai version),which mainly includes localization of language elements,culture,topic,content and practice design.By sorting,classifying and statistics,the localization factors in textbooks are analyzed in detail.The third chapter analyzes the presentation of localization factors in textbooks,including explicit localization and implicit localization.The fourth chapter,according to the aspects of language elements,culture,topics,textbook capacity and exercises,this paper summarizes the features and shortcomings of textbook compilation and puts forward suggestions.The fifth chapter is the conclusion,which summarizes the main content of this study and provides the basis for the compilation of the following localized textbooks.To sum up,this paper mainly analyzes the books used by junior high school students in "Experiencing Chinese"(Thai version),tries to find out the localization factors involved,summarizes the characteristics and short comings of textbook selection through classified statistics,and then puts forward targeted Suggestions for localized textbooks.
