From September,2019,all of China’s school students ranging from grade 1 to grade 6 began to use the Chinese textbook authorized by the Administration of Education,which is also called “authorized textbook” for short,opening a new era of “one edition” of textbook through out the whole Chinese fundamental education.And the modern poetry for children-written by modern or contemporary poets,in the language of modern Chinese,and for the young-has a particularly great importance in the authorized Chinese textbooks for primary students especially in lower grades.However in recent academic circle there are relatively not too many studies on the poetry for children in the authorized Chinese textbook for primary school,so it appears necessary and forward-looking to study it.The meaning of the research is varied,which enables the arrangement of the the poetry for children in the authorized Chinese textbook in primary school to acquire wider social awareness and examination from different angles,cultivating the core competence for art and education research,including observation,extraction,analyzing,comprehending,synthesizing,and application and composing,to promote understanding of the characters of the poetry for children in the authorized Chinese textbook for primary school for teachers,and to help students to accumulate modern poetry for children and inspire confidence and interest in reading and creating modern poetry for children.The author chooses the the poetry for children in the authorized Chinese textbook for primary school as the research object,using the methods of literature review,statistics and experiential summary,defines the meaning of “authorized textbook ”,“Chinese in primary schools ”,“modern poetry for children”,reviews the current research situation,develops new theories on the foundation of existed achievements,studies the arrangement,language training values,aesthetic orientation and educational significance of the poetry for children in the authorized Chinese textbook for primary school,explores teaching paths for modern poetry for children,aiming at enlarging the values of the poetry for children in the authorized Chinese textbook for primary school in both theoretical research and teaching practice.The quantity of the poetry for children in the authorized Chinese textbook for primary school has a relatively high proportion in lower grades.Most of the poetry origins from classic songs,folk nursery rhymes,famous writers,which is good to broaden the reading horizon of children.The contents and themes range widely,from folk songs about learning habit and social rules in lower grades,to lyrical and emotional moderns poetry in middle grades,whose forms and themes comply with the regulation of the physical and mental growth of primary students.The system of the poetry for children in the authorized Chinese textbook in primary school contains the values of children’s poetry in authorized textbook on basic languages skills such as Chinese alphabet and phonetic,words recognizing and writing,reading,imitative writing and imaginative creating,view points and emotional expression.It shows great literary art and aesthetic meaning of the poetry for children with wide-ranged artistic images including animals,plants,nature scenes,toys,;with an artistic atmosphere full of emotions and sense,delivering the feelings of serene,tenderness,passion,calm,romantic and wisdom and reason;with colourful forms like delicate structures,various rhymes and rhythms,flexible rhetoric.Meanwhile,these poetry are very thoughtful in moral education connotation,pointing to inheritance of Chinese cultural traditions,deep love for one’s country and home,nourishment to the mental growth of the youth.Toward these poetry,we could apply the method of circumstance creating,loud-reading and reciting,intimation and creation,comprehensive displaying in teaching practice.The author has systematically put the the poetry for children in the authorized Chinese textbook for primary school in order,and recombined,excavated and interpreted its values from the aspects of instrumentality,art,humanity,achieved cognition with more angles and multilevel layers,reflecting both wholeness and concreteness.But it’s a pity that the author lacks the theories of poetry creation and poetry appreciation,and has little reference to follow.
