As we all know,extracurricular reading is an important supplement to in-class reading.The amount of extracurricular reading will directly affect the amount of Chinese knowledge accumulation of primary school students.The level of extracurricular reading ability is affected by the interest of primary school students in reading.According to study of the current situation of primary school students’ extracurricular reading We can find out the problems of primary school students’ extracurricular reading and improve their reading.In this paper,it is found that the cultivation of primary school students’ extracurricular reading focuses on the lower grade students,and the cultivation of primary school students’ extracurricular reading interest in grade five and grade six is very little,which directly affects the efficient and healthy development of primary school students’ extracurricular reading interest.Therefore,it is of great significance to help grade five and grade six pupils improve their reading ability by improving their extracurricular reading interest.The paper in Chifeng city urban and rural integration of C elementary school as the research object,through questionnaire investigation for five or six grade elementary students’ extracurricular reading interest present situation investigation and analysis,pay attention to Chifeng city urban and rural integration of primary school.This research is mainly divided into six parts: the first part is the introduction.It mainly includes four aspects such as the question,research significance,core concept definition and literature review.The second part is the research design and method.This paper expounds the design of the questionnaire from several dimensions and the research methods used.The third part is to summarize the results of the investigation on the extracurricular reading interest from three dimensions: the tendency of primary school students’ extracurricular reading interest in grade five and grade six,the breadth of primary school students’ extracurricular reading interest in grade five and grade six,and the learning method of primary school students’ extracurricular reading interest in grade five and grade six.The fourth part is to summarize the problems existing in the primary school students’ extracurricular reading interest in grade five and grade six according to the survey results.In the fifth part improvement strategies are put forward from family,school,and teachers to solve the problems of primary school students’ extracurricular reading interest in grade five and grade six.Such as giving play to the leading role of schools and teachers improving the reading environment of schools.Giving play to the promoting role of families and providing a good reading atmosphere.
