Core talents are crucial to companies' development,which is same for the booming insurance industry.Internal promotion has been seen as an important way to stabilize and motivate employees.Therefore,the recruitment and selection of core talents is an important issue in the human resource management of insurance enterprises.Constructing the promotion mechanism based on competency model will provide more scientific and accurate selection criteria and measurement means for the promotion.This paper takes C company as the research object and discusses how to construct the promotion mechanism of the county/regional managers based on competency model.Firstly,this paper introduces the business environment of C company in life insurance industry,and summarizes the theory of competence model and internal human resource recruitment,analyzes the relationship between competence model and talent promotion.Secondly,on the basis of analyzing the present situation of the promotion mechanism of the county/regional managers in C company,the paper makes an enterprise diagnosis and summarizes major problems,and introduces the necessity of constructing the promotion mechanism based on competency model.Thirdly,this paper summarizes the key element of competency model by using methods of behavior event interview,subject analysis.It also uses questionnaire survey,correlation analysis and brain storm to construct the competency model of the county/regional managers in C company.Fourthly,this paper gives the details of promotion mechanism according to the competency model constructed.It includes promotion preparation,recruitment source,method of selection,and promotion evaluation.This paper's conclusions are from two aspects.One is constructing the competency model of the county/regional managers,the other is designing the promotion mechanism of the county/regional managers in C company according to the competency model constructed.Through this case,we can find out that C company can benefit from the competency model and promotion plan.It is hoped that this paper is helpful for A group and B joint-stock company even the other life insurance companies who has the same needs of county/regional managers management.
