In recent years,China's traditional trade has declined under the influence of multiple factors such as the weak global economic situation and the fluctuation of the RMB exchange rate.In sharp contrast to this, the total bilateral trade volume between China and the "Belt and Road"countries has been continuously increasing.Among these,cross-border e-commerce transactions and scale growth rates have increased year by year.Cross-border e-commerce in various countries has been developing rapidly under the "Belt and Road" initiative. However,by contrast to G20 countries,China's cross-border e-commerce connections with the "Belt and Road"countries are weak, and the levels of interconnection and interoperability are also low and uneven. On the other hand,it also shows that there is great potential and room for improvement in the development of cross-border e-commerce between China and the "Belt and Road"countries. The content of this paper:The first chapter mainly expounds the research background and significance of the dissertation, including the research methods of this paper, and summarizes the domestic and foreign related literature. The second chapter makes clear the related concepts, explains the relationship between the five-link index and cross-border e-commerce,and describes the relevant theoretical basis related to cross-border e-commerce.The third chapter shows the status of China's cross-border e-commerce development through data and charts. The ECI index is used to analyze the closeness of cross-border e-commerce connectivity between China and the "Belt and Road" countries, and it is found that China's cross-border e-commerce connections with the "Belt and Road" countries are relatively weak. The fourth chapter analyzes the potential of China's cross-border e-commerce development with the "Belt and Road"countries through the five-link index, and finds that the levels of interconnection and interoperability between China and the "Belt and Road" countries are low and uneven. On the other hand,it also shows that there is great potential and room for improvement in the development of cross-border e-commerce between China and the "Belt and Road" countries. And the correlation between the five-link index and the development potential of cross-border e-commerce is measured, which proves that using the five-link index to analyze the development potential of cross-border e-commerce is effective. The fifth chapter analyzes the barriers to the development of cross-border e-commerce between China and the "Belt and Road" countries. There are severe problems in laws,regulations,cross-border logistics and payment closely related to the development of cross-border e-commerce.And the issue of interconnection and interoperability between China and the "Belt and Road" countries has also brought challenges to the healthy development of cross-border e-commerce.The sixth chapter puts forward some personal suggestions from the aspects of laws and regulations, infrastructure construction,cross-border physical distribution, and financial supervision in order to facilitate cross-border e-commerce' progress.
