Innovation-driven development strategy has risen to China's national strategic height.Under this background,China's scientific and technological innovation has made great progress,innovation funding has been continuously improved,various innovation outputs have maintained growth,and high-tech industries such as information technology and bioengineering are developing steadily.However,at the same time,it can be seen that compared with developed countries,China's innovation achievement conversion rate and contribution rate of scientific and technological progress are still low,and there is a serious imbalance between technology and economy.At present,China's innovation breakthrough has not yet brought sufficient economic benefits,and economic development has not really depended on regional innovation.Then,how to coordinate regional innovation and economic development is an urgent problem to be solved.Considering industry-university-research cooperation as an important bridge connecting technology and market,it has always played an important role in promoting the close integration of technology and economy.Therefore,this paper cuts into this and explores whether it is the disconnection between industry,academia and research has caused the imbalance of regional innovation and economic development? And can we coordinate the interaction between regional innovation and economic development with industry-university-research cooperation as the breakthrough point?This paper is based on the systematic review of the relevant theories of industry-university-research cooperation,firstly the theoretical analysis framework of the coupling and coordination relationship between industry,university and research cooperation influencing regional innovation and economic development is constructed;secondly taking Henan Province as an example,the characteristics of industry-university-research cooperation and the coupling and coordination between regional innovation and economic development are deeply analyzed by using patent crawling data and statistical yearbook data;finally the influence of the industry-university-research cooperation on the coupling and coordination relationship between regional innovation and economic development is tested empirically.The conclusions are as follows: 1)From the perspective of theoretical analysis,industry-university-research cooperation has a positive impact on the coupling and coordination relationship between regional innovation and economic development.Through industry-university-research cooperation,both scientific innovation and industrial development can be improved,which will not only promote regional innovation but also drive economic development,thus promoting the formation of an interactive,coupled and benign relationship between the two.2)From the perspective of the characteristics of industry-university-research cooperation in the study area,the development of industry-university-research cooperation in Henan Province is relatively weak.At present,industry-university-research cooperation is sparsely populated and loosely related and the vitality and creativity of companies in the industry-university-research cooperation network also need to be further developed.In addition,the spatial differentiation of the industry-university-research cooperation relationship is distinct.The local cooperation mainly focuses on cities with strong local knowledge production capacity such as Zhengzhou,Xinxiang and Luoyang,the cross-border cooperation outside the province mainly focuses on provincial capital cities with talents,capital and technology advantages such as Beijing,Wuhan,Xuzhou and Xi'an.3)From the perspective of the coupling and coordination characteristics of the study area,the coupling and coordination level of regional innovation and economic development in Henan Province is relatively low.At present,the coordination degree between the innovation capability and the economic development level of each city is generally lower than its coupling degree,indicating that the interaction between the two systems of innovation capability and economic development level is obvious but the development is unbalanced.In addition,the degree of coupling coordination has obvious spatial non-equilibrium and spatial autocorrelation.The high coupling coordination areas are mainly distributed in the northwestern part of Henan Province,while the low coupling coordination areas are mainly distributed in the southeastern part of Henan Province.4)From the regression test of industry-university-research cooperation on the relationship between innovation and economic,the level of industry-university-research cooperation in the research area is not the main reason for the coordination of regional innovation and economic development.At present,the independent innovation level of institutions significantly affects the coupling and coordination between regional innovation and economic development,while the level of industry-university-research cooperation has no significant impact on the relationship between them,mainly because the industry-university-research cooperation in Henan province is less and weaker.However,in terms of the high degree of gray correlation between the level of industry-university-research cooperation and the level of coupling coordination and the similar spatial distribution characteristics between industry-university-research cooperation and coupling coordination,industry-university-research cooperation has utility for the coupling coordination relationship between regional innovation and economic development.In addition,it can be seen from the panel regression results that different innovation economic organization models do have different effects on the coupling and coordination relationship between regional innovation and economic development.This paper actively explores the influence of industry-university-research cooperation on the coupling and coordination relationship between regional innovation and economic development from the perspective of theoretical reasoning and empirical testing,which not only has important practical significance for solving the problem of dislocation between regional innovation and economic development,but also has important theoretical value for enriching the research on industry-university-research cooperation.
