The optimization and upgrading of industrial structure plays an important role in promoting economic development.The power source of industrial structure optimization is technological innovation.Whether directly or indirectly,technological innovation is promoting and acting on the evolution of industrial structure.Technological progress will also be constrained by industrial structure.It can be said that the main driving force of industrial structure evolution is technological innovation.With the continuous progress of science and technology and the rapid development of economy,innovation is not only the field of technology,but also the field of economy.Science plays a guiding role in the future development of economy,and technology is related to the exertion of practical value.Technological innovation has injected new vitality into economic development and profoundly changed the mode of social production,which is of great significance to economic development.Based on the related theories of technological innovation and industrial structure evolution,this paper studies the impact of technological innovation on industrial structure evolution through literature review,qualitative and quantitative analysis,aiming at exploring the policy path to improve the level of technological innovation and promote the optimization of industrial structure.Based on the analysis of the present situation of technological innovation and industrial structure in China,it is found that the performance of innovation input,output,environment and diffusion of innovation is getting better year by year.At the same time,synchronous rationalization adjustment and advanced evolution of the three major industrial structures have also appeared,which serve as the breakthrough point of the relationship between technological innovation and industrial structure.In order to carry out empirical research,this study evaluates the evolution of technological innovation and industrial structure in China based on the data of technological innovation capability of China from 2008 to 2017,through principal component analysis,grey correlation model and Granger test,and explores the impact of various dimensions of technological innovation on the evolution of industrial structure,as well as the causality between technological innovation and industrial structure evolution.Relationships.The research confirms the high-intensity correlation between technological innovation and industrial structure evolution,and also shows the important influence of key inputs such as funds and talents of technological innovation on industrial structure evolution.Through Granger test,the causal relationship between technological innovation and industrial structure evolution is confirmed,that is,the former is the Granger cause of the latter,while the latter is not the Granger cause of the former,and the relationship between the two is one-way.On the basis of the above analysis,this study puts forward some policy suggestions to strengthen the level of technological innovation and promote the optimization of industrial structure in China.This study holds that technological innovation is highly related to the evolution of industrial structure.At this stage,China's technological innovation capacity needs to be further strengthened,industrial structure needs to be further adjusted,and the benign interactive development model of technological innovation and industrial structure optimization needs to be further explored.
