The appraisal of project managers in port construction enterprises plays an increasingly prominent role in the development of enterprises,but it has been neglected for a long time by the appraisal system of project managers in domestic construction enterprises as a whole.The appraisal of managers has not been paid much attention to,and thus improved and promoted.Although the important role of performance appraisal for project managers in the industry is consensus,there are still many problems in the implementation and implementation of performance appraisal for project managers,such as unreasonable design of assessment indicators,imperfect assessment methods,insufficient application of assessment results,unreasonable design of assessment cycle,and so on.Based on the theoretical knowledge of performance management,this paper analyses the current situation of performance appraisal of project managers in Port Construction Branch through literature research,field interviews,questionnaire survey,and so on.It also analyses the deep-seated reasons for the problems existing in the appraisal of project managers,such as unclear job design,lagging assessment and training,insufficient attention of leaders,vacancies or inaction of human resources,etc.In order to optimize the appraisal system of project managers in Hong Kong Construction Branch,some measures and suggestions are put forward,such as strengthening performance appraisal work,establishing appraisal revision system and establishing guarantee system.In view of the situation that there is no independent evaluation system for the unified assessment of the branch company in the group,this paper puts forward an index system for the performance evaluation of project managers by the branch company on the basis of making full use of the existing assessment system and indicators and combining with the actual situation of the project Department of the branch company.The appraisal of project managers in port construction enterprises is a difficult point in the performance appraisal of project managers.There may be many flaws in the exploration of this paper,and there are many deficiencies in the study of this issue.However,I hope that other scholars and practitioners will be inspired by this paper to conduct in-depth research on this issue and explore a set of salaries and incentivessuitable for construction projects in the future.The combination of encouragement,restraint and encouragement,synchronization with the market and operable performance appraisal system enrich the human resource management theory of construction enterprises,and promote the transformation and upgrading of the construction industry and healthy and sustainable development.
