Since the financial crisis in 2008,the growth of foreign trade has slowed down,demographic dividend has disappeared,domestic demand remained weak,and pressures on resource increased.As the world's largest trader,China has been facing an unprecedented dilemma,the trade barriers were higher than the average level of the world's countries and the related export products had a greater impact.China's economic development requires not only large enterprises with a pillar role,but also a large number of small and micro enterprises with growth and vitality.Many small and micro foreign trade enterprises have tried to realize the reform and upgrading of their own development through cross-border e-commerce.In the grand strategy of "the Belt and Road","Internet +" and "regional free trade" and the right to fight for global economic trade,cross-border e-commerce has fitted this gigantic opportunity and opened up new economic space.This paper takes small and micro foreign trade enterprise S company as the research object,through the retrieval of domestic and foreign literature and based on the company's present situation to carry on the optimization research to its value chain.The main structure of this paper is divided into six parts.The first part is the introduction,which is mainly about the background,significance,research objectives,research methods and the hierarchical logic relationship of the article.The second part is literature review,which summarizes the basic concepts used in this paper,the related literature research of small and micro foreign trade enterprises,and gives a detailed description of the relevant research on the value chain.The third part is the case description,which presents the general situation of S company,its profile,development history,business model,etc.The fourth part is to clarify the position of S company in the industrial value chain,identify and define its activities through the macro environment and industry environment analysis and with focus on the detailed analysis of the internal and external value chain of the enterprise,thus to understand the problems it faces,for instance: single product category,week brand awareness; single marketing channels,simple methods of promotion and drainage;high logistics costs and difficult to guarantee distribution speed;lack of talent and great mobility;poor communication,after-sales service is difficult to guarantee.The content of the fifth part is to make concrete suggestions for the optimization value chain system of S company: diversify products,build brand and star products;use multiple channels and multiple platforms,take precision network marketing;choose appropriate logistics channels and reduce costs;attach importance to personnel training and improve the efficiency of organization and management;integrate supplier resources and enhance service quality.The final sixth part is the general summary and the prospect of the follow-up research on the whole research of this paper.This paper adopts a combination of theoretical research and empirical analysis,using strategic management theory,enterprise value chain analysis tools and management knowledge to focus on qualitative analysis,combining with appropriate data quantitative analysis methods,to analyzes the existing value chain of S company,and puts forward an effective optimization strategies.The research results in this paper not only provide useful help for the further development of S company,but also have certain reference significance for the value chain management of some other small and micro enterprises.
