Research On The Mental Poverty Behavior Mechanism Of The Poor Population In Northwest China And The Way To Solve The Difficulties

In the process of precision poverty alleviation,China's poverty alleviation work has achieved great achievements.After poverty alleviation,we must pay attention to prevent returning to poverty.Mental poverty is an important reason for returning to poverty.The economic resources in the northwest region are relatively backward,and it is necessary to encourage the poor to escape poverty through self-development through spiritual poverty alleviation.Mental poverty limits the ability of the poor to develop themselves.At the same time,mental poverty is an important reason for poverty alleviation.Mental poverty seriously hinders the effectiveness of poverty alleviation policies.Pure economic and material assistance cannot completely lift poverty-stricken people out of poverty.It is necessary to solve the psychological and spiritual poverty of the poor and let the poor through their own efforts after the poverty alleviation policy is withdrawn.A stable income can be obtained to constraints of material poverty,poor people will show deeper mental poverty,that is,they are more susceptible to irrational decision-making due to cognitive and behavioral biases;ambition failure,recognition Decreased ability and executive control will deepen cognitive and behavioral bias.Insufficient self-development capabilities include insufficient endogenous motivation and insufficient development capacity.Insufficient endogenous motivation leads to a lack of self-development motivation and confidence,and is unwilling to make efforts to improve income.Insufficient production capacity leads to a lack of capacity for the poor to guide themselves in making the right production decisions.Based on behavioral economics theory,this paper analyzes the behavioral mechanism of material poverty caused by poor poverty,cognitive ability and executive control decline,and the quality of decision-making declines.Material poverty makes the poor people more susceptible to cognitive and behavioral biases.Deepening the level of mental poverty makes it difficult for poor people to make choices that maximize their long-term interests,and it is easier to make wrong choices and fall into long-term poverty.On the one hand,the scarcity caused by material poverty reduces the bandwidth available to one person,causing a bandwidth burden,and the bandwidth burden will lead to a decline in cognitive ability and executive control.On the other hand,the poor population is limited by their own development environment,and the ambition window is relatively narrow,so they often form a very narrow or very wide ambition gap,which makes the poor people establish too low or too high ambitions leading to ambition failure,making the poor Lack of enough effort to get rid of poverty.Taking the county of Shaanxi Province as an example,this paper conducts on-the-spot investigation and analysis of the poverty situation in poverty-stricken counties in the northwestern region.In the process of precision poverty alleviation in northwestern China,there are widespread mental poverty phenomena in which some poor people lack self-development motivation.Mental poverty not only hinders The ability of the poor to escape poverty through self-development has also caused the poor who have been lifted out of poverty through policy assistance to return to poverty.The lack of endogenous motivation is relatively small among the poor.The more common mental poverty is the lack of production capacity.Therefore,it is not only necessary to solve the problem of insufficient development of the poor people themselves,but also to solve the general production among all the poor.Insufficient capacity to improve the quality of decision-making of poor groups.Through the empirical analysis of rural data of CHIPS2013,this paper verifies that material poverty has a significant positive effect on the level of mental poverty,and material poverty will deepen mental poverty.The results of the analysis show that lower economic incomes result in lower ambitions and heavier bandwidth burdens.Material poverty can cause ambition failure and deepen the bandwidth burden of the poor.The feedback between mental poverty and material poverty leads to poverty-stricken individuals falling into poverty.The trap is in long-term poverty.The empirical results also found that too low aspirations and excessive bandwidth burden will hinder the economic income.Therefore,higher ambitions will help the poor to get rid of poverty,and alleviating the bandwidth burden of the poor will also help the poor to get rid of poverty.This paper also proves that poverty can reduce the quality of decision-making by economic experiments.The experimental results show that the cognitive ability and learning ability of the poor are lower than that of the non-poor,making the poor people's decision-making quality lower than that of the non-poor.To solve mental poverty,we must alleviate the decline in cognitive ability and executive control by reducing the bandwidth burden of the poor,and help the poor to establish correct ambitions.The policy design content of spiritual poverty alleviation can include broadening the ambition window,reducing the bandwidth burden and promoting mental health,that is,alleviating the mental poverty characteristics of the poor from three aspects:first,to solve the ambition failure by broadening the ambition window,and second,to reduce the bandwidth.The burden is to improve cognitive ability and executive control,and the third is to promote mental health to enhance willpower and self-control.The policy of poverty alleviation should include three aspects:ambition cultivation,bandwidth saving and psychological intervention.The experimental results of this paper also found that even if the poor people's cognitive ability is lower than that of the non-poor,after the same choice of the same choice,the poor can make decisions that are consistent with the non-poor.This shows that pro-poor policies with continuity and stability will be more effective,and the effects of poverty alleviation policies need to be fully understood and understood by the poor to play a better role.
