The Threshold Effect Of Social Capital On Poverty Reduction

At present,China's economic development is rapid,and social and economic development has entered a new normal period.However,China's poverty problem still exists,and there are still a large number of poor people in every corner of the country.If we do not solve the problem of poverty in different regions in time,it will not only affect the basic survival of individuals,hinder their future development,but also lead to the lack of fairness and justice in society,and even cause social unrest.Especially with the development of society,the concept and connotation of poverty are constantly changing.Under the new situation,higher requirements are put forward for poverty alleviation,and the research on poverty alleviation should keep pace with the times.Based on CFPS household survey data,a comprehensive index of social capital is constructed by the improved entropy weighting method.Firstly,we compare the differences of various variables under Multidimensional Poverty and income poverty by statistical analysis,and test the impact of social capital on poverty by variance analysis.Then we take the identified Multidimensional Poverty and income poverty as explanatory variables and the factors aflfecting poverty as explanatory variables,and further construct a panel door on poverty and the addition of social capital square and cubic items.Threshold regression model,and finally through the threshold regression model to analyze the poverty reduction effect of social capital.The study finds that there is indeed a non-linear relationship between social capital and family poverty,no matter for multi-dimensional poverty or income poverty.Only when social capital exceeds a certain threshold,can the level of family poverty be significantly reduced.This requires the state to formulate diversified poverty reduction measures according to the characteristics of the threshold,and give more support to families with low social capital,so as to make them reach one goal.At the same time,the poverty rate of multi-dimensional poverty is obviously higher than that of income poverty,and multi-dimensional poverty will be the main direction of poverty alleviation.Moreover,under the two poverty identification criteria of income poverty and multi-dimensional poverty,the main difference of poverty alleviation comes from the factor of urban and rural areas,which also shows that to alleviate multi-dimensional poverty,we need to pay more attention to the supply of public goods and the livelihood of the people.Guarantee.
