Since the reform and opening up,with the continuous acceleration of the industrialization process of various countries,manufacturing industry,as an important part of the national economy,promotes the rapid development of China's economy.However,with the change of domestic and international environment and the extensive development mode for a long time,the development of China's manufacturing industry has fallen into the dilemma of low efficiency and high energy consumption,so it is urgent to find a new way of development.The report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China points out that strengthening the integration of manufacturing industry and modern service industry,especially the integration of financial,Internet information,energy conservation and environmental protection,and the integration of productive service industry of R & D and design services,is an effective way to promote the high-quality development of manufacturing industry.As the core component of manufacturing intermediate investment,producer service industry has the characteristics of high knowledge intensive and high technology intensive,which plays an important role in improving the efficiency of manufacturing industry.Therefore,the research on the impact of the integration of producer services and manufacturing industry on the efficiency of manufacturing industry is of great practical significance to promote the transformation and upgrading of China's manufacturing industry and realize the sustainable development of the national economy.Based on the theory of division of labor,the theory of value chain and the theory of endogenous economic growth,this paper clarifies the mechanism of manufacturing efficiency influenced by the integration of producer services and manufacturing industry.Secondly,the coupling coordination model is used to measure the integration degree of producer services and manufacturing in China and its East,middle and west regions.Thirdly,we use stochastic frontier analysis to measure the manufacturing efficiency of China and its East,middle and west regions.Fourth,the panel data model of the impact of industrial convergence on manufacturing efficiency is constructed,and empirical analysis is carried out at the national and regional levels.Finally,the paper puts forward the relevant countermeasures and suggestions based on the industrial integration effect of China's manufacturing efficiency improvement,in order to provide effective policy basis and data basis for the integration development of producer services and manufacturing industry in various regions of China and promote the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry.The results show that: first,in 2007-2016,the integration of producer services and manufacturing industry in China is on the rise,and the regional integration is on the decline from the east to the middle and West.Second,the efficiency of China's manufacturing industry is on the rise as a whole,but the growth rate is relatively small,the average annual growth rate is relatively low,and the overall level is not high.There is also a decreasing trend from the east to the central and western regions.Third,whether in China or in the East,central and western regions,the integration of the two industries has a significant positive impact on the efficiency of manufacturing industry,and there are regional differences in the improvement of the efficiency of manufacturing industry,especially in the western region,followed by the East and central regions.Fourth,the three control variables of human resource level,institutional characteristics and the degree of opening to the outside world also have regional differences in manufacturing efficiency.
