In the process of rapid urbanization in China, rural functions have experienced a single-to-multiple development. With the gradual implementation of the rural revitalization strategy,China's rural areas will face more diverse functional needs. The rural function has obvious spatial heterogeneity and time variability.Different functional development modes are different in different rural areas, which leads to the difference between its development direction and industrial layout. Therefore, the dynamic evolution process and mechanism analysis of rural functions are analyzed. It is an important topic in rural research. In this context, the function of this paper is based on the establishment of the rural function evaluation index system, using DPS,SPSS,ArcGIS and other software, using exploratory spatial data analysis, time and space difference diagnosis model and gravity transfer model, based on the county scale to Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban agglomeration. The spatial and temporal dynamic evolution process of rural functions from 1996 to 2016 was studied, and the changes and evolution mechanism of rural functions were analyzed. The regulation path of rural revitalization strategy was proposed, which provided theoretical basis for rural function optimization and regional division of labor, and realized different new formats. The coordinated development of the linkage will further enrich and improve the research results of rural functions. The research results are as follows:(1)The overall evolution of the rural function of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban agglomeration from 1996 to 2016 showed an increase, and the total amount of rural functions increased. The key nodes affecting the development of rural functions in Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban agglomeration in the past 20 years are in 2000 and around 2008,mainly represented by the macro background in the process of urbanization and the government's implementation of a series of planning and policy implementation of the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban agglomeration have a driving or hindering effect on rural functions.(2)The spatial and temporal evolution of rural functions in Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban agglomeration has obvious regional differentiation characteristics, and there are differences in the temporal evolution between the functions of each county. The EDF is characterized by rapid development of urban agglomerations and small increase in peripheral counties and cities;APF and ESF are concentrated in counties and cities with rich cultivated land and forestry resources;SSF and EDF are synchronized,The performance of economic development will drive the growth of SSF.(3)The evolution of rural functions is the result of the interaction of many factors such as natural foundation,socio-economic conditions and location traffic conditions. The dominant functions and functional performance characteristics of rural functions in different urbanization development stages are different. In the early stage of rural development, the rural function is mainly based on APF and ESF;when the village enters the industrial transformation stage, the EDF and SSF are improved, especially the sudden growth of EDF;In the stage of integration and development, the concept of coordinated development of the “Production-Life-Ecology”function has been deepened, and various functions have been comprehensively and balancedly developed.ESF has risen rapidly in recent years.(4)Based on the characteristics and laws of rural function evolution in the counties and districts of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban agglomeration, analyze the necessity, macro background, basic conditions and basic objectives of the rural functional planning of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban agglomeration, proceed from the overall development and coordinated development, and from the land policy In terms of industrial policies, fiscal and taxation policies, population policies, and people's livelihood policies, this paper proposes a regulatory path for rural functional coordination in the context of rural revitalization in different leading functional areas in the future.
