With the development of the market economy,small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs)in Vietnam have also developed rapidly and become a part of Vietnam's economic development strategy,which has played an important role in Vietnam's economic and social development.Although the SMEs in Vietnam have developed rapidly,they also have many problems.Among them,the brain drain is the biggest problem for SMEs in Vietnam.Due to the advent of the market economy and the development of globalization,the competitive between the enterprises about talent acquisition has become more and more fierce,so the brain drain of SMEs in Vietnam has been more and more serious.The conditions of Vietnamese SMEs are not as good as those of large enterprises,so Vietnamese SMEs are not strong in attracting talents.It is also difficult to recruit talents,or after recruiting talents,many talents choose resignation because of the major defects in talent management.This situation will affect the competitiveness of SMEs in Vietnam and limit the development of SMEs in Vietnam.This paper uses the literature research method to study the brain drain problem of small and medium-sized enterprises in domestic and foreign,and through the questionnaire survey method to deeply understand the brain drain of Vietnamese SMEs.Firstly,this article gives a research review based on the current status of domestic and foreign research on brain drain in SMEs,then defines the concept of Vietnamese SMEs,talent,and brain drain,and summarizes the role of Vietnamese SMEs.Secondly,through the design,distribution,and recovery of questionnaires,some data on the brain drain of Vietnamese SMEs were collected,and Excel was used to process the survey data,which found that the brain drain rate of Vietnamese SMEs remained high,Vietnamese SMEs' s talents flow to large enterprises,the brain drain of high education is serious,and the brain drain rate of young people is significant.The main reasons are the inadequate talent management system,the imperfection of salary and welfare system,the lack of career planning and the poor working environment.Finally,based on the analysis of the questionnaires,this paper propose appropriate countermeasures for each reason,namely,improving the talent management system,establishing a reasonable salary and welfare system,establishing a career design system for talents,and providing a good working environment for talents.As long as these aspects are improved,Vietnamese SMEs will effectively reduce the rate of brain drain,so that they can develop more healthily.
