Research On The Design Of Rebuilding Existing Hotels Into Facilities For The Elderly

At present,my country’s population is aging at a high level,and the elderly population is growing rapidly.In May 2021,the National Bureau of Statistics released the seventh census data bulletin.The data results show that the population of 60 years old and above is 264 million people,accounting for 18.70%,of which 190 million people are 65 years old and above,accounting for 13.50%.Compared with the sixth national census in 2010,the aging of the population has further deepened.At present,my country is accelerating its entry into the "super-aged society".However,there is a lack of service facilities for the elderly,and the problem of elderly care for the elderly has gradually become prominent.The elderly care facilities have received more and more attention.In recent years,my country has intensified the construction of elderly care facilities and promoted the construction of elderly care facilities in many ways.However,at present,there is still a serious shortage of elderly care beds nationwide.At the same time,under the wave of urban renewal,the renovation of existing buildings has gradually entered people’s field of vision.There is a contrast between the idle transformation that hotel buildings are currently facing and the stock of senior care facilities,and the needs of the two are declining.At the same time,affected by cost constraints,the development of the elderly care industry is facing difficulties.If the development of the elderly care industry in the form of new buildings can hardly be completed,the status quo of the construction of elderly care facilities will not be improved in a short time.Therefore,some eligible existing hotels have become the objects of choice for the elderly care industry.Renovation of existing hotels can quickly improve the urgent need of China’s shortage of elderly care facilities and provide opportunities for replacement of its functions.Based on the current situation of aging development,the idle existing hotels are transformed into facilities for the elderly.In terms of economy,construction period and difficulty of reconstruction,it is a relatively convenient means of reconstruction due to the similar spatial forms and similar functions and service modes.In the transformation,starting from the needs of the elderly,and under the conditions of meeting the existing national regulations,we will try our best to create a flexible,convenient and dynamic living environment for the elderly.The thesis first clarifies the research object,research significance,and determines the research content and research methods through background research.By analyzing and comparing the location,plane form,functional requirements,architectural color and other aspects of the hotel and senior care facilities,the similarities and differences between the two are summarized,so as to determine the focus of the project renovation.After analyzing the current policies of our country and determining the design standards of each functional space,the three typical old-age facilities reconstructed from the existing hotel were investigated on the spot,and the design methods and shortcomings of the renovation were analyzed,and the problems to be solved were put forward.Based on this,starting from the psychological needs of the elderly and the needs of nursing staff,it proposes the selection conditions of hotels suitable for rebuilding into elderly care facilities.Combining actual research cases and design methods at home and abroad,discuss and put forward the principles of transforming hotels into retirement facilities.The corresponding renovation measures are summarized from the four aspects of room space,public activity space,rehabilitation and medical space,and management service space,and the impact of the new crown epidemic is to reflect on some epidemic prevention and transformation methods when the hotel is transformed into an elderly care facility.
