With the intensification of global environmental problems,human society has begun to pay attention to the repair of the relationship between human beings and nature,and has tried to improve people’s attitude and behavior toward nature and enhance ecological civilization through nature education,of which nature education for young children is the focus.Due to the heavy pressure of study and the lack of space for nature experience,the relationship between young people and nature has been severed,and many young people in China suffer from "nature deficit disorder",which has a negative impact on their own development and the construction of ecological civilization.It is especially important to emphasize the connection between youth and nature,and to facilitate the provision of targeted nature education spaces and landscapes in the school environment where youth spend a lot of time.This study takes middle school campuses in the main city of Wuhan as the research object.Through field research,observation records and questionnaire surveys,we understand the current situation of nature education landscape construction and students’ preference for nature education landscape in middle school campuses in Wuhan,and explain the influence mechanism of nature education landscape elements on nature connectedness by constructing structural equation models,and provide corresponding nature education landscape design strategies and guidance To achieve the goal of nature education on campus.The research in this paper is as follows.First,we comb through academic literature research to clarify the concepts related to nature education and environmental education,specify the research object,content and methodology of the paper,and develop a general research framework.Secondly,10 middle schools in Wuhan were selected as research samples,and the current problems of campus nature education landscape construction were summarized through fieldwork,feeling records,and interview interviews.Then,based on the actual research results and relevant theoretical studies,the three major elements of nature education landscape in Wuhan middle schools,namely "material elements","spatial types" and "activity contents",were extracted.elements and their characteristics.Then,a questionnaire was designed based on the elements of nature education landscape in Wuhan middle schools.Through a pre-survey,128 valid questionnaires were collected to summarize the characteristics of students’ preference for nature education landscape;then,through a formal survey,descriptive statistics,difference test and reliability analysis were conducted on 452 valid questionnaires using SPSS19.0 to meet the reliability requirements;AMOS26.0 was used to conduct validation factor analysis and construct a structural equation model to obtain the influence mechanism of nature education landscape on nature connection.The study found that "activity content","spatial type" and "material elements" in the campus nature education landscape can promote students’ nature connectedness,among which "Activity content" has the greatest impact on nature connectedness;natural elements and cultural connotations are the two major factors that influence students’ preference for campus nature education landscapes.The results of the above study are translated into a realistic guiding scheme,and two strategies are proposed for the design of nature education landscapes in Wuhan middle school campuses in terms of activity space layout and material element design:(1)In the activity space layout,the different nature education potentials of the transportation space,teaching space,leisure space and landscape space in the campus are explored,and the activity content guides the space design.(2)In the design of material elements,natural elements should be used as the base,and the penetration and integration of cultural elements in the landscape should be emphasized. |
