Belief of Dongyue originated from the worship and reverence of human beings for nature in the primitive tribal period,and emperors of all dynasties worshipped the God of Mount Tai.In the Tang Dynasty,the belief of Dongyue began to spread in the northwest.At the same time,Taishan Temple began to be built in the northwest.After the construction of song,yuan,Ming and Qing Dynasties,Taishan Temple spread throughout the northwest.As the carrier of Dongyue belief,Mount Tai Temple in Qin’an was built in Tang Dynasty and flourished in Ming and Qing Dynasties.After many times of reconstruction and maintenance,it is a relatively complete Ming and Qing architectural complex in Tianshui.It is located in Fengshan in the east of the county.Taishan temple is located in the east of the county.There are many kinds of houses in Taishan temple in Qin’an,such as veranda style,Xieshan style,hard mountain style,rolling shed style,and cuanjian style.It has a variety of shapes,such as Chiwen,Jisha,Jishou and taoshou.The ridge decoration is exquisite,and the hanging fish shape is simple and the carving is smooth.The walls are mostly soil walls mixed with wheat straw,and the columns are mostly without decoration.The decorative patterns of the long head in front of the eaves and columns are various,including characters,utensils,flowers and auspicious animals.The exquisite carvings on the Fang,Jiaobei,hanging style and doors and windows increase the ornamental value of Taishan temple,and the patterns include flowers and plants Fruit,utensils,dark eight immortals,dragons,bats,etc.;the column base is simple and simple,and the shape is simple.Through the detailed study of Taishan temple,we can see the temple architecture art in Qin’an area.
