Time quantifiers are a small class of quantifiers parallel to noun quantifiers and verbal quantifiers under the category of quantifiers.They have time meaning and can form a time quantifier structure with numerals to indicate the duration or interval of action.As a new class of quantifiers,our country’s research on time quantifiers is relatively late compared to other parts of speech,and there are relatively few studies on time quantifiers in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The time quantifier is also a part of speech closely related to people’s daily life.It is indispensable for international students to learn and master it.So the research on the time quantifier in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language is very important.This article first starts from the perspective of the ontology knowledge of time quantifiers and summarizes the previous research results on time quantifiers,and continues the view that time quantifier is a small class of quantifiers parallel to noun quantifiers and verb quantifiers.Then analyzes and compares the word types that are easy to confuse foreign students,such as time nouns,noun quantifiers,and verb quantifiers,and briefly explain the detailed classification of time quantifiers,the collocation usage of time quantifiers with other words,and the overlapping usage of time quantifiers.On this basis,from the perspective of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,find out the 9 overlapping parts of the time quantifiers in the HSK vocabulary level 1 to 3 with the time quantifiers in the "Happy Chinese" series of textbooks,then add the intermediate and high-level vocabulary "moment" and "semester" in the textbook "Happy Chinese" for higher-level learners at the elementary level.In the end,a total of 11 time quantifiers were used as research objects,including:o’clock,month,number,year,week,day(tian),night,day(ri),hours,semesters,moment.And use Beijing Language and Culture University "HSK Dynamic Composition Corpus" and Jinan University Interlanguage Corpus as the target,sort out specific error cases about the time quantifiers acquired by foreign students from the corpus.Through detailed analysis and research,these error cases are divided into five types of errors,and summarize the five major reasons for these errors.Finally,analyze the reasons for the errors and give corresponding suggestions to teachers,textbooks and international students.For teachers from three perspectives: before class,during class,and after class.The pre-class suggestions for teachers include the teacher’s lesson preparation content and error prediction.In the course,specific examples are given for the primary learning stage and the intermediate and advanced learning stage of international students,and the exercises are demonstrated.After class,suggestions are given from the teacher on the continuing learning of the quantifiers of time.For the textbook,suggestions are given from the perspectives of the pertinence of the textbook,the supplement to the part of speech of the quantifiers in the textbook.For international students,suggestions are given from two aspects: summarized the idioms of time quantifiers and the transformation of learning strategies.It is hoped that these suggestions can bring new inspiration to the teaching of time quantifiers in teaching Chinese as a foreign language,and improve the teaching quality of time quantifiers. |
