Post-Cold War Security Dilemma In Northeast Asian Countries And China’s Challenges

Northeast Asia is not only a superior geographical location,but also rich in natural resources.It has always been a place for strategists to fight for.Since modem times,under the invasion of Western powers,the leading ability of China in Northeast Asia has been disintegrated.After World War Ⅱ,the Northeast Asia gradually formed a north-south confrontation dominated by the Soviet Union and the United States,while China was in the camp of "China Soviet North Triangle’.After the end of the cold war,the Soviet Union disintegrated.Russia,the main country in the Soviet period,was unable to dominate the situation in Northeast Asia.The United States became the only superpower in the world,thus forming a pattern of "one super three strong".However,due to the essential differences in political system,economic system and ideology among the countries in Northeast Asia,the countries in the region lack obvious regional identity and fall into regional security dilemma.Security dilemma is more common in the world’s regional politics.This kind of behavior with the will of the state is easy to form a vicious circle,which eventually leads to an arms race in the region,thus leading to military conflict and confrontation.Today’s theme is still peace and development.As the world’s largest developing country and the world’s second largest economy,China will still achieve peaceful rise according to this theme.In the future,how to build a changeable security mechanism in Northeast Asia and how to build a secure external environment for China are all the problems that China needs to face in its development.This paper takes this as a starting point,introduces the background and significance of the topic,and combs the research results of scholars at home and abroad;briefly explains the concept of national security dilemma,and introduces the basic theory applied in this study;points out that the security dilemma of Northeast Asian countries presents the potential of us intervention in defense,socialist and capitalist system confrontation in Northeast Asia and power conflict At the same time,there are new characteristics of arms race,military alliance,territorial disputes and nuclear conflicts between the United States and North Korea.In view of the causes of the security dilemma of the Northeast Asian countries after the cold war,the study chooses to analyze from the political,economic,security system and social aspects.At the same time,it leads to another important research point in this study--China In the face of challenges and responses,the study found that China is currently facing the problems of the prevalence of"China Threat Theory",the U.S.return to the Asia Pacific strategy and the complexity of the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue.These external factors have obviously affected China’s current peaceful rise and long-term development.Combined with the current "peaceful rise" strategy proposed by China,we must minimize the impact of these negative factors Low,in the study,we put forward strategies to eliminate the negative impact of "China Threat Theory",develop strategic partnership with Russia and promote cooperation and mutual trust among countries in Northeast Asia.In the future,with the continuous improvement of China’s comprehensive national strength and international status,China’s influence in Northeast Asia will continue to expand.The results of this study can provide a reference for China’s peaceful rise in Northeast Asia.
