A Study On The Activation Of Hollow Traditional Villages In Ethnic Areas ——A Case Study Of Erguanzhai Village In Southwest Hubei Province

Traditional villages are the carrier of agricultural civilization and traditional culture,are the precious heritage of the Chinese nation,and maintain the strongest "nostalgia" of the Chinese nation.There are a large number of traditional villages in ethnic areas,most of which are located in mountainous areas with closed traffic and backward economy.With the advancement of industrialization and urbanization,the number of migrant workers is increasing.Many traditional villages are faced with problems such as hollowing out and the lack of village subjects.The development of villages is full of difficulties.This study takes erguanzhai village,Shengjiaba Township,Enshi City as the research object,and discusses the activation of hollow villages through consulting relevant literature and in-depth field investigation,which is conducive to promoting the sustainable development of traditional villages.Erguanzhai village is a typical traditional village in Southwest Hubei.Since the20 th century,with a large number of population outflows,the phenomenon of "hollowing out" in the village has become more and more serious,resulting in a series of problems,such as brain drain,idle houses,weak industries,and the loss of culture.The village actively explores appropriate ways of village activation in combination with its own reality.Through the joint efforts of all villagers,the village has realized industrial activation,cultural activation and landscape activation,and the villagers’ thoughts and behaviors are constantly updated.The activation of traditional villages has achieved certain results,the agricultural civilization has been inherited,the village living environment has been continuously improved,which has promoted economic development and enhanced villagers’ feelings.However,the village activation also brings some problems,such as the destruction of the traditional style of the village,the insufficient activation and utilization of local culture,the insufficient characteristics of tourism products,the weak sense of participation of some villagers,and so on.In view of these problems,the study believes that the process of traditional village activation should comply with the important principles of reasonable planning,overall protection,appropriate development and people-oriented.It is necessary to ensure the effectiveness of village activation and continuously promote the development of villages by developing industries to attract talents,continuously improve the appearance of villages,reshape tourism brands through culture,jointly govern communities with multiple subjects,and learn from the experience of other regions.
