Physical fitness is the quality of the body,health means that a person in physical,mental and social aspects are in good condition,physical health is very important to us now,especially the physical health of students is also the focus of the state to improve the point,in recent years,students’ physical health shows a downward trend physical fitness is also declining.Therefore,it is very important to strengthen students’ physical training and improve their physical health.Functional training originated in the field of rehabilitation,has achieved good results,has been concerned by sports experts from all over the world,and has done more research on functional training into the field of physical training,and has also been applied to the field of competitive sports,sorting out a relatively perfect training theory,for physical training to lay a good theoretical foundation,but in the field of physical health of campus students involved less.This paper applies functional training to the physical health development of 8-9-year-old students to understand and master the influence of functional training on the physical health of 8-9-year-old students,improve their physical function and strengthen their physical health,hoping to help school physical education teachers broaden their teaching methods while improving their physical health.This article carries on the FMS test,the body composition BMI index test and the physical fitness test to the 8-9 year old male student through the literature material method,the expert interview method,the experiment method,the experiment to 40 boys in 20 weeks time,through carries on the contrast analysis to the experiment before and after collates the achievement data,hoped to achieve enhances the physical fitness ability,enhances the student body weak link strength,enhances the student body function,The effect of functional training on the physical health of students aged 8-9 years was demonstrated by the results obtained after participating in functional training.The results show that:1.Functional training is beneficial to improve students’ physical function,improve students’ physical condition and promote students’ physical development.Functional training can effectively improve students’ physical strength quality,speed quality,body index,coordination and sensitivity,promote students’ physical health.2.functional training can improve students’ body composition BMI index and improve students’ physical condition.3.functional training is beneficial to improve the performance of students’ functional movement screening,the weak links of students’ body are obviously strengthened and improved,and the physical function of students is improved,including physical flexibility,physical strength,joint flexibility and core stability.4.functional training has practical significance in the physical health of students aged 8-9.
