Research On The Democratic Literacy Of Primary School Students In Class Cadres Selection Activities

With the further development of education democratization and the national advocacy of the socialist core values,schools need to take the cultivation of the democratic literacy of primary school students as an important educational content.It is of great significance to cultivate the democratic literacy of primary school students:First,it can promote the democratic management of schools and classes.Second,the improvement of democratic literacy can stimulate the enthusiasm of primary school students to participate in public affairs and enhance their participation ability.Third,fostering the democratic quality of primary school students is conducive to promoting their all-round development.Class cadres selection activity serves as an important way to cultivate the democratic quality of primary school students,educators need to pay attention to it,and promote the promotion of the democratic quality of primary school students through the organization of democratic and scientific class cadres selection activities.In this study,two primary schools in Z city were selected to investigate the current situation of the democratic literacy of primary school students through class cadre selection activities.On this basis,the reasons for the problems in democratic literacy were analyzed and countermeasures were proposed.Based on the results of questionnaire survey and interview,it is found that the current situation of democratic literacy of primary school students is as follows: There has been some understanding of democratic knowledge but not systematic enough;in the aspect of democratic attitude,some attention has been paid but no initiative has been taken.There has been some improvement in democratic capacity but little practical opportunity.Analyzing the present situation,the main reason is that the traditional management idea of the head teacher has affected the democracy of the selection of the class cadre.The idea of exam-oriented education affects students’ participation in class life;the school lacks democratic management of class cadre selection.To develop the democratic quality of primary school students through class cadre selection,we can start from the following aspects: the head teacher changes the management idea and stimulate the democratic enthusiasm of the students;enlarge the opportunity that the student participates in class cadre selection,enhances the democratic participation ability;school strengthens the democratic management to the class cadre selection activities.Through these aspects,we can promote the democratic norms of class cadre selection activities,so as to cultivate the democratic literacy of primary school students.
