The fourth industrial revolution with artificial intelligence,virtual reality,quantum information technology and biotechnology as the core technology is in full swing.As an important part of the fourth industrial revolution,industrial intelligence has attracted the attention of various countries and is also the inevitable choice for China to build a manufacturing power.However,with the acceleration of the development of industrial intelligence,it not only promotes the efficient development of industry,but also causes the change of employment structure.Under this background and effect,it is very necessary to focus on the development of China’s industrial intelligence and its influence on the labor force employment structure.On the basis of literature review,this paper defines the connotation of industrial intelligence and labor employment structure,and summarizes the basic mechanism of industrial intelligence affecting the labor employment structure,and further clarifies the mechanism of the influence of industrial intelligence on labor force employment structure under the constraints of social and economic development.Based on theoretical analysis,the panel data of 30 provinces in mainland China(except Tibet)from 2005 to 2018 are selected as a sample,and the basic multiple regression model and threshold regression model are used to explore the relationship between industrial intelligence and labor force employment structure.The results show that,the impact of industrial intelligence on the employment structure of the labor force is characterized by threshold characteristics.That is,industrial intelligence has a creative and absorbing effect on high-skilled labor,and this role has continued to increase,while industrial intelligence has an impact and substitution effect on low-and mediumskilled labor,and the role is increasingly weakened.Then,this paper constructs a threshold regression model for attribution analysis and analyzes the impact of industrial intelligence on the labor force employment structure under the constraints of industrial structure,economic development level,economic openness and urbanization.The regression results show that under the influence of industrial structure,economic development level,economic openness and urbanization,the impact of industrial intelligence on the labor force employment structure presents threshold effects with different characteristics.It can be seen that under the multiple constraints of factors such as industrial structure,economic development level,economic openness and urbanization,industrial intelligence has a threshold effect on the labor force employment structure of.According to the conclusions obtained,effective suggestions are made to the government and enterprises to correctly handle the relationship between industrial intelligence and labor employment structure in terms of increasing human capital investment,promoting the development of industrial intelligence,and improving the constraint environment of industrial intelligence development.
