With the rapid development of China’s economy,great changes have taken place in economic society,population characteristics and social talent demand for a decade.With the rapid development of economy and society,the popularization reform of higher education in China has accelerated.The gross enrollment rate of national higher education and the number of students in private colleges and universities have increased year by year in the proportion of national higher education in the total number of students,which brings opportunities and challenges for the vigorous development of private higher education.All kinds of private colleges and universities try to adapt to the increasingly fierce competition environment by adjusting development strategies and improving management efficiency.The ability of human resource management and development is the foundation of the sustainable and effective development of private colleges and universities.It’s also the most important thing to improve the management level of private education.The non-profit private colleges and universities use the non-state financial funds and the public welfare or other school running systems to run schools,which make the teaching staff of such colleges and universities have a big gap compared with the quantity and quality of public colleges and universities.For a long time,they have been in the dry tree of talent competition,and urgently need to meet the needs of their own development through reform.By summarizing the research of domestic research institutions and scholars in the development of human resources in private colleges and universities,referring to the modern human resources development theory and the its embodiment in colleges and universities,taking Xiamen H College as an example,combining the highlights of domestic excellent non-profit private colleges and universities,this paper aims at the existing teacher structure of human resources development,unreasonable,imperfect channels for teachers’ development,imperfect incentive system and other problems in non-profit private colleges and universities,to put forward countermeasures to promote the development of human resources in non-profit private colleges and universities.This paper summarizes the main methods to improve the ability and effect of human resource development in non-profit private colleges and universities in China,including establishing a perfect,multi-layered training system closely related to performance appraisal,optimizing the structure of teachers and professional titles,creating a good teaching and scientific research environment,promoting the informatization construction of human resource development and management,and establishing a more scientific,reasonable,perfect and distinguished incentive system and assessment system.At the same time,we should improve the level of teachers’ democratic management and develop teachers’ paid social services orderly.Non-profit private colleges and universities should give full play to their own characteristics and advantages,actively explore new ideas and models of human resource development and management,and effectively improve the competitiveness and social recognition of non-profit private colleges and universities.
