Comparative Analysis On Exercises Of Thailand Primary School Textbook Experiencing Chinese And Chinese

Chinese textbook-compiling face challenge at Thailand with the high development of Chinese learning in short period.Exercises play a more important role in textbook with more attention paid to learning rather than teaching.This paper study the exercises of two widely used Chinese textbook at Thailand primary school basic on statistical data,mainly studied the arrangement and design of exercise’s volume and type by four aspects.Firstly,studied the arrangement and design of pronunciation,Chinese character,vocabulary,sentence,paragraph in language elements.Found that the language elements exercises of two textbooks comply with the normal textbook-compiling regulations but have different performance in each language elements.Secondly,analyzed the skill exercises of listening,speaking,reading and writing.Result demonstrate that two textbooks did not reflect the regulation of listening speaking lead reading writing comprehensively,existed the problems of ignoring one of skill or losing control of exercises type using rate but also some advantages,such as creative exercises type design and rich contents.Thirdly,we found the advantage of each textbook by studying activities and culture exercises which as two features of international elementary Chinese textbook.As localization textbook,the exercises of Experiencing Chinese has more function and higher adaptation for Thailand students than Chinese,but Chinese owning more rich and detailed culture exercises,while some shortcomings need to deal with.Basic on the shortcomings founded in study,this paper tried to propose some suggestions with the guide of Teaching Chinese as foreign language theories and Pedagogic theories.Wish it could provide some meaningful reference for Chinese textbook-compiling.
