The teaching of popular science can not only exercise students’ reading and writing skills,but also cultivate students’ scientific spirit and logical thinking.But in the current elementary school Chinese curriculum,the teaching of popular science is just a part that is easily overlooked.The first is that popular science literature accounts for a small proportion of elementary school Chinese textbooks,and students have a single channel to understand popular science literature,which leads to a limited number of works read and feel unfamiliar with popular science literature;secondly,teachers have a single method of teaching popular science literature.Not much interest in boring science and literature learning.At the same time,popular science literature has the rigor and logic required by its science in the subject matter,as well as the popularity and interest required by the age characteristics of students and the limitations of knowledge level.These two requirements are often difficult to consider at the same time in classroom teaching.This research mainly includes the following four parts:The first chapter compares articles of different subjects such as popular science literature and science fiction articles,comprehensively discusses the concept definition and research content of popular science literature,and combs the status quo of research at home and abroad.Chapter Two explains the current situation of popular science literature in teaching.The third chapter,the teaching exploration of popular science,compares the advantages and disadvantages of the two sets of textbooks in the new edition of 2019 and the PEP edition in scientific articles.The fourth chapter summarizes the research conclusions and reflects on the deficiencies in the research.Through investigation and research,it is found that there are deficiencies in the teaching objectives,teaching methods and teaching content of popular science teaching in classroom practice.Disciplines and disciplines do not exist in isolation from each other,but are connected to each other and complement each other.Popular science is also a bridge between communication disciplines.Through the teaching of popular science,it can arouse students’ interest in learning scientific knowledge.Not only can they listen carefully in get out of class,but they can also actively learn scientific knowledge after class.At the same time,they can also cultivate students’ interest in other science subjects in the future.
