Research On The Construction Of Elderly Volunteer Groups Based On The Social Work Station Platform ——A Case Study Of Changsha X Social Work Station

In recent years,China’s aging population is growing,and the proportion of the total population is gradually increasing.The increasingly large elderly population needs us to pay attention to its impact on social development.Caring for the elderly not only needs simple assistance activities,but also helps the capable elderly to participate in the society and make good use of the current elderly resources.On the one hand,this "utilization" can enable the elderly group to maintain a sense of social value,avoid the loss of self-worth after retirement,and realize new personal value in the process of participating in services.On the other hand,participatory services can effectively save social resources and enable some elderly people to participate in services,which can not only help other elderly groups,but also reduce their own use of corresponding social welfare resources in the service process,so as to realize the rational utilization of existing resources and better serve the development of elderly groups.Moreover,the participation of the elderly in social services can update the current society’s irrational solidified cognition that the elderly should enjoy the old-age care,so that the society can see that the elderly also have their value to the society,rather than just acting as a "convalescent" role of social resource consumption,which is conducive to strengthening the social status of the elderly.This study selects X social work station in XS City,Hunan Province as the object,and explores the basic situation of local elderly volunteers and the development of the social work station itself through questionnaire survey and preliminary interview,so as to understand the existing service activities and the basic needs of local people.Through the preliminary investigation and summary,it is found that there are a series of problems in the development of the elderly volunteer group in X social work station,such as weak incentive measures,prominent group development problems,backward thought of helping others and so on.Through the professional group method,taking individual development-group development as the starting point,adjusting measures to local conditions,relying on the local service needs and the physical ability conditions of the elderly,integrate the service provision and needs,so as to face the problems faced by the current development and explore the development direction of voluntary service in the future.
