| The implementation of the rural revitalization strategy has brought new development opportunities for the development of the countryside, and more and more migrant workers choose to return to their hometowns to start businesses/employment.The key to the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy lies in the construction of a talent team,of which women are a powerful force. However, subject to gender stereotypes such as "men are in charge of internal affairs and women are in charge of external affairs" and "women’s incompetence is virtue",rural women are generally faced with social structural difficulties such as weak participation ability, imperfect participation mechanism, and unbalanced participation in gender ratio, failed to improve the marginalized situation.Based on this, this research takes the construction of vocational ability as the starting point, and uses the professional strength and professional advantages of the foundation to help rural women improve their vocational skills, activate the subject consciousness of rural women, and make them become the innovators of the rural revitalization strategy. This research adopts qualitative research methods such as case study method,in-depth interview method and participatory observation method.Based on the Y Foundation’s rural women’s vocational skills development project,it interviewed 16 rural women and 3 Y Foundation’s rural women who participated in the vocational skills development project. The staff and organized the Y Foundation’s project materials about the project.Based on the theory of empowerment, the Y Foundation’s participation in the three dimensions of "empowerment preconditions, empowerment process, and empowerment goals" was explained. The operation process of the rural women’s vocational skills development project.First of all,Y Foundation analyzes the needs of rural women in terms of income, ability, subject consciousness and social support, and links enterprises and female backbones to provide preconditions for empowerment. Then,in the process of empowerment, based on the practical needs of women, the Y Foundation designs vocational skills development projects from three modules: external skills acquisition, internal subject consciousness enhancement, and the establishment of local mutual aid communities. Finally,in the evaluation of empowerment goals, using NVivo12 qualitative analysis software, the non-quantitative and semi-structured interview data were formed into a three-level coding system to analyze the effectiveness and deficiencies of vocational skills development projects.Based on the practice of the existing Y Foundation’s vocational skills development projects, this thesis proposes an optimization strategy for the foundation to participate in the construction of rural women’s vocational skills.Through qualitative research and analysis of the "Rural Women’s Vocational Skills Development Program" project of the Y Foundation, the following conclusions are drawn:The empowerment theory is suitable for the practical guidance of the rural women’s vocational skills development program, and the project is in "economic conditions".Improvements,self-awareness enhancement, and social support network enhancement have achieved results, but at the same time, there are also shortcomings such as insufficient performance of the foundation’s main responsibilities and functions, incomplete project content planning, and imperfect project evaluation system. Therefore,it can be optimized from three dimensions: the foundation plays a dominant role, completes the content of rural women’s professional ability construction planning, and constructs a process-based evaluation with gender awareness and participation of multiple subjects. |
