At the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19 th CPC Central Committee,the CPC Central Committee set the strategic goal of making China an innovative country and building a talent power in 2035.Therefore,doing a good job in developing innovative talents in the new era and accelerating the construction of technology centers and global innovation are the main ways to provide strong support for the socialist modernization drive in 2035.In recent years,the number of graduate students has been increasing,the group of postgraduates has become the "main force" of the national innovation structure,which puts forward stricter and higher requirements and standards for graduate students’ innovation performance and innovation ability.The instructor responsibility system is implemented for postgraduate training.During the study period,instructors are very important to postgraduate study and life.Therefore,this study introduces the relevant theories of leadership in organizational behavior into the field of education to explore the impact of transactional instructor style on graduate innovation performance.At the same time,referring to relevant research at home and abroad,this paper constructs a theoretical model between four variables:transactional instructor style,perceived insider status,team climate and innovation performance,in which perceived insider status is used as an intermediary variable and team climate as a regulating variableThis study conducted data collection by means of field questionnaire and online questionnaire,conducted a formal test for 297 graduate students,used SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 22.0 to investigate the impact of transactional instructor style on graduate students’ innovation performance.The research conclusions are as follows:(1)The overall style of transactional instructor has a significant positive impact on innovation performance.At the same time,the two dimensions of transactional instructor style,(contingency reward and positive exception management)have a significant positive impact on innovation performance.(2)Perceived insider status of postgraduates has a significant positive impact on innovation performance.(3)Transactional instructor style has a significant positive impact on the perceived insider status of postgraduates.(4)Perceived insider status plays an intermediary role between transactional instructor style and innovation performance.(5)The team climate plays an important role in regulating the differences between transactional instructor style and innovation performance,transactional instructor style and insider identity perception.Finally,on the basis of the above conclusions,,this study provides relevant suggestions to improve graduate innovation performance from the instructor level,graduate level and team level,so as to better manage graduate students and improve their high innovation performance.
