From the perspective of the current situation of engineering talent development in China, the overall advantage and competitiveness of the talents educated by engineering colleges and universities are insufficient, and the cultivation for engineering education is not up to the needs for technological innovation and industrial transformation.Creating a culture for academic and systematic innovation in engineering education is a research report sponsored by the American Society for Engineering Education to promote the innovation of American engineering education. As an educational research report,it has strong language logic, simple and clear text, and it is an informative discourse characteristic of long and difficult sentences and complex sentence structures. The translator looks hard into the linguistic structure and seek to come up with deeper understanding of the source text to convey the original information to the target audience in rigorous and standardized academic language. The current translation practice report starts from the analysis of the vocabulary and syntactic features of the original text, categorizes typical practices as the translation of vocabulary, the translation of attributive clause and adjustment of word order, and discusses the linguistic features, translation of difficult points and typical strategies for the translation of engineering education texts in the light of parallel texts. The translator hopes to contribute a reference for the translation of similar texts in the future through this translation practice.
