The source text is selected from College Mindfulness Training Chapter 7(Mindfulness Programs and Initiatives)and Chapter 8(Individual CMT Practice),which introduce the Mindfulness programs of world-renowned universities and the description of individual college mindfulness practice.Mindfulness,as a state of personal awareness,is the ability to focus our attention on events in the environment This text covers a lot of professional terms related to mindfulness and instructions of mindfulness practice.The language of the source text is concise,professional and logical,and the content of the text is very instructive to contemporary college students.First,the translator ascertains the translation of mindfulness terms,and studies the translation of words from the perspective of part-of-speech conversion and affirmative?negative conversion.Secondly,the translator handles the translation of sentences logically by using sentence order adjustment and sentence separation.Finally,the translator also analyzes the discourse coherence in the text.The purpose of this translation practice is to promote and popularize the practice of college mindfulness in China;to help Chinese college students adjust their mood,concentrate on their study;and to provide reference for translation studies in this field.
