Under the background of social transformation and the needs for cheap labor in view of the development of economy,the traditional family structures have collapsed.As the group without parents' care,the socialization of left-behind children has gained much attention.Meanwhile,with the development of Internet technology and the lower cost of mobile devices,it has become more accessible to social media for the left-behind children.Social media have played a crucial part in the socialization of left-behind children concerning the advantages of massive amounts of data and the diversity of communication.Current research about left-behind children's media contact focused on the different media type's influence,like television,computer,cellphone on the socialization.With the birth of social media,media contents have become more abundant.The research about social media's influence on left-children's socialization should be more adapt for the reality.This study mainly used quantitative and qualitative research techniques to evaluate the social media's influence on left-children's socialization.According to the research,given the influence of medium,agents of socialization have equipped with brand new characteristic.From the family aspect,the conventional strength for socialization have weaken.Peer group have taken an active part in the process of socialization.As for the educational institution,it shows lower awareness about social media.Ultimately,in terms of the above issues,this paper presents some suitable recommendations for the healthy growth of left-behind children.
