| County is the basic administrative unit of our country.It is of great significance to study the development of county education so that the county-level cities can better drive the lagging rural education and link the education development of large and medium-sized cities.As the core force of the development of county education,it is an important link to promote the development of county education to enhance the engagement of county teachers and strengthen the teaching effect and quality of county ordinary high school.Taking H City of Guangdong Province as an example,this study analyzes and discusses the engagement of senior high school teachers from two aspects.The first is to investigate the current situation of teachers’ engagement in senior high school,and to explore its influencing factors.The second is to explore the influence of the proportion of women in the majority,the dual economic structure of urban and rural areas and the college entrance examination system on senior high school teachers.In this study,through interviews and literature analysis,the core concepts of ordinary high school teachers ’engagement were clarified,the engagement scale and questionnaire were designed,and the investigation was carried out in 14 high schools in H City.Using SPSS software,completed the reliability,validity,difference and correlation analysis of 322 questionnaires.The study finds:First,the level of teachers’ engagement in H city is not ideal and needs to be improved.Second,the average value of male teachers’ engagement is lower than that of female teachers,both of which show consistency in family influence and negative correlation with engagement.In the organizational atmosphere and interpersonal support,there are significant differences between male and female teachers.Third,the school location shows no significant difference in the engagement of ordinary high school teachers,while the average values of the teachers in counties and cities are higher than those of the teachers in townships in terms of reward recognition,organizational atmosphere and organizational support.Rural teachers feel more family influence than urban teachers.Fourth,the closer the college entrance examination is,the more the teachers are influenced by the college entrance examination system and the higher the average value of engagement is.There is a significant positive correlation between the college entrance examination system and teacher engagement.Fifth,the college entrance examination system,reward recognition,organizational support,organizational atmosphere and interpersonal interaction have a significant positive impact on professional engagement.And family influence has a significant negative impact on engagement.But reward recognition is not related to teacher engagement.In response to the data analysis results,this article puts forward suggestions on improving the engagement of ordinary high school teachers in H City: First,give teachers the opportunity to grow and develop,and enhance the overall engagement of teachers;Second,create a good organizational atmosphere to protect teachers’ physical and mental health;Third,Caring for township teachers and giving full play to the intermediary role of teachers in the urban area;Fourth,optimizing the deployment of teachers and responding reasonably to the college entrance examination system. |
