With the development of quality education,great changes have taken place in teaching resources and classroom teaching.In this context,local history has gradually entered people's vision.Local history is the integration of culture and history in a certain region.In a narrow sense,local history refers to the study of a certain place's history and related books,while in a broad sense,it refers to the history and culture of a certain area.It includes research on local history and culture and related books,as well as various historical and cultural relics left over from the local area.In China,each region has its own local culture.Yangzhou is a typical canal city with a long history and rich local historical resources.Local history education is a part of history education.Learning and mastering local history and culture of junior high school students will play a great positive role in cultivating their hometown emotion and loving the motherland.There are various ways to develop local history education,such as compiling local history textbooks and setting up local history courses,holding extracurricular local history activities,and integrating local history knowledge into academic level tests.Due to the regional differences in China and the differences in urban and rural education resources,there is a large gap in the level of rural history education.Such as the guidance of national policies,the importance of local education authorities and schools,and the knowledge and ability of teachers,all these are restricting the teaching of local history,and the integration of local history in the academic level test and daily teaching is even less.Solving such problems is the premise and guarantee of local history education.But so far,in the history teaching of junior middle school in Yangzhou,the involvement of local history resources is very small.The teaching of local history is a kind of teaching method with local voice and local feeling,which conveys a kind of identity to the culture of hometown.By studying local history,students not only cultivate their affection for their hometown from an early age,but also increase their interest in studying history.Therefore,by investigating the current situation of the teaching of local history in Yangzhou,it is found that the teaching of local history in the history class of junior middle school in Yangzhou is inadequate.In the context of the new curriculum reform,the teaching of rural history is very important.Through a detailed investigation of some history teachers and students of three junior high schools in Yangzhou,we clearly understand that there are many problems in the practical application of local history education in Yangzhou middle schools.In response to the problems we have found,we have put forward substantive opinions and suggestions,and we have tried every means to promote the teaching of local history and cultivate students' love and patriotism for their hometown.Finally,we will combine the local history resources of Yangzhou with the history class of junior high school,and take the seventh edition of the second grade history textbooks as an example to fully show the links of class teaching and homework assignment before class,hoping to help and improve the local history education of junior high school students in Yangzhou.
