Calligraphy is one of the quintessence of Chinese traditional culture.Its appreciation value,practical value and educational value cannot be ignored.Calligraphy education has become an important part of core literacy education and its importance has been increasingly recognized by more and more people from all walks of life.However,in order to develop calligraphy education in schools,there are many challenges under the premise of exam-oriented education.There is a gap in economic development between urban and rural areas,which leads to a gap in cultural education between urban and rural areas.There are also differences between urban and rural areas in calligraphy teaching in western China.In line with the idea of putting forward and solving problems,this research,based on the conclusions drawn from the research,puts forward the corresponding measures,which are conducive to solving various problems in calligraphy education in rural primary and secondary schools in western China,and improving the effectiveness of calligraphy education in rural primary and secondary schools in western China.The main contents of this research are as follows: The first chapter is the introduction of this paper,analyzing the background,practical significance,theoretical significance,research purpose,research literature review,research methods and steps,and innovation of this research.The second chapter is the theoretical basis of the research.After defining the concepts of calligraphy and calligraphy education,the theoretical basis,the principles to be followed,the content of calligraphy education and the significance of calligraphy education are analyzed.Chapter three investigates the current situation of calligraphy teaching in rural primary and secondary schools in western China.Through questionnaire survey and interview,this part of research,on the one hand,found out the current situation of rural calligraphy education in western China,on the other hand,extensively collected first-hand spot data,which laid a foundation for analyzing and solving problems.Chapter four: The problems existing in calligraphy teaching in rural primary and secondary schools in western China.These problems mainly include low attention,improper teaching methods,lack of teaching resources and improper evaluation methods.The conclusion of the problem puts forward the direction and goal for solving the problem.The fifth chapter puts forward corresponding improvement measures,including changing teachers' ideas and improving calligraphy teaching quality;Ensuring the resources of calligraphy education in primary and secondary schools;Pay attention to create a good atmosphere,jointly promote the development of calligraphy teaching and other aspects of content,and with the case of the proposed teaching ideas to explore.The sixth chapter summarizes the whole thesis,draws the research conclusion,and looks forward to the further research direction.
