Reading is the basic way for human beings to obtain information,and it is the necessary skill for modern citizens to base themselves on society and carry out lifelong learning,so cultivating students' reading interest and ability has become an important goal of Chinese curriculum.The development of reading interest,the cultivation of reading habits and the cultivation of reading ability need to be developed early,and the creation of a good reading atmosphere requires the joint efforts of schools and families.In order to better achieve this goal,based on the uniqueness of the physical and mental development of the first-grade students in primary school,the first-year language teaching materials organized by the Ministry of Education issued in 2017 included the column " Reading with The older people " for the first time," Reading with The older people " has become a clearly defined teaching task of the language teaching materials.So,what is the status quo of " Reading with The older people " ? Is there a problem with the implementation? What is the cause of the problem? How to help solve these problems from a school perspective and improve the quality of " Reading with The older people " This is the focus and basic idea of this study.This study analyzed 16 articles in " Reading with The older people " by text analysis method,dug deep into its characteristics and set-up concepts,and used questionnaire and interview methods to investigate the parents of first-grade students and 6 Chinese teachers in Q City N primary schools.A total of 300 parent questionnaires were distributed,252 were recycled and 216 were valid.After the questionnaire recovery analysis,6 first-grade Chinese teachers in N primary schools were interviewed,and through the questionnaire and interview data.There are three main problems in the "Reading with The older people" campaign: parents' understanding of the teaching task of " Reading with The older people ",the formalization of parental accompanying reading and poor family reading atmosphere.The main reasons for the above problems are the restriction of parents' own quality,the failure of teacher guidance to follow up in time,and the restriction of physical and mental development of the first-grade students in primary school.In order to effectively solve the above problems and improve the quality of "Reading with The old people",this study puts forward four optimization strategies from the perspective of school teachers: enrich teaching methods and provide teaching brackets,clear guidance methods to improve parental ability,improve the evaluation mechanism and pay attention to the process evaluation,promote home-school cooperation and cultivate students' reading habits.
