The The Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China has officially issued the Ideological and Political Curriculum Standards for Ordinary High Schools(2017 Edition),which has triggered a new round of high school ideological and political curriculum reform upsurge.The change of the nature of the course means the change of the direction of teaching practice and the improvement of teaching and learning methods.In the teaching implementation of the new curriculum standard,it is suggested to design activities around the topic,and give a reference for the topic design of the teaching content,which also indicates that the topic-based teaching is an important starting point to promote the reform of high school ideological and political curriculum.After the promulgation of the new curriculum standards,the application of topic-based teaching in high school ideological and political teaching has been concerned.The application of topic-based teaching in high school ideological and political teaching has very important value,which can meet the needs of students' all-round development,teachers' professional development and subject teaching reform.However,at present,the practice time of using topic-based teaching in high school ideological and political teaching is relatively short,it is still in the initial stage,and there will inevitably be some problems.Through investigation and analysis,it is found that the application of topic-based teaching in high school ideological and political teaching has achieved remarkable results in enhancing students' interest in learning high school ideological and political course,promoting the improvement of students' ability,and promoting the improvement of teachers' teaching methods.However,there are also some problems,such as unreasonable topic design,inadequate use of teachers,teaching effectiveness to be improved,and formalization of teaching feedback Question.Through the collation and analysis of the survey data,combined with the teaching practice experience,we know that the reasons for the problems mainly involve the following aspects: Teachers' cognition is not in place,the ability reserve is insufficient;students' learning habits are different,the inquiry ability is different;the new curriculum concept is not implemented,the lack of direction guidance;the evaluation mechanism has deep influence,and the teaching environment is under pressure.In view of the causes of the problem,combined with the application of topic-based teaching related to "fighting" the COVID-19 epidemic,this paper puts forward some improvement strategies for the application of topic teaching in high school ideological and political teaching.Finally,it provides a teaching example with the topic of "fighting" the COVID-19 epidemic,"fighting" the COVID-19 epidemic situation,related discussion activities and tasks as the four main lines,in order to provide practical experience for enhancing the application effect of topic-based teaching in high school ideological and political teaching.
