In the latest curriculum reform,it is emphasized to cultivate the core qualities of students.While learning scientific and cultural knowledge,students must also master the necessary skills and abilities.The final implementation is the development of a sound personality.This requires teachers to explore new teaching methods.The traditional accepting teaching model has not met the requirements of the times.Project-based teaching method takes projects as the main line of teaching.Students are in the main position of learning,and the role of teachers is to ensure the learning activities proceed smoothly.This teaching mode focuses on cultivating students' consciousness,initiative and participation,which is conducive to improving students' intra-group cooperation and innovation ability.This teaching mode also meets the requirements of cultivating students' core literacy.Therefore,it is necessary to study the application of project-based teaching method in middle school mathematics.The predecessors mainly conducted research on project-based teaching in the field of vocational education and higher education,but rarely conducted research in the field of basic education.In basic education,there are more researches on subjects such as information technology and history,and less research on mathematics subjects.First,I use the literature method to give a detailed overview of the research status,the connotation,and the related theoretical basis of Project-based teaching.Second,I use the interview method to investigate the implementation of the project-based teaching of mathematics in a middle school in Dezhou.According to the difficulties encountered by students and teachers,I make suggestions.Third,according to the characteristics of the project-based teaching method and of the mathematics teaching,I propose the teaching process of the project-based teaching method,and set up the teaching cases of the activity practice class and the knowledge exploration class.Fourth,by analyzing the data before and after the case teaching and the results of questionnaire surveys,interviews,etc.,I find that the project-based teaching method is superior to the traditional teaching method in terms of knowledge,emotion,and student performance in the classroom.Finally,it is the reflection and prospect of the research.I put forward the shortcomings of this research.Besides,combining practice,I put forward the limitations of this teaching method in the application of junior high school mathematics teaching.These provide references and directions for further research on project-based teaching methods.
