Learning prose for improving students' aesthetic appreciation ability has a nonnegligible role which is conducive to the formation and development of their Chinese literacy since prose owns quality and beauty and occupies an important position in junior middle school Chinese teaching.The new curriculum reform emphasizes the principal position of students and encourages them to explore independently and express freely.This background has brought a new foothold in the direction,but also released a certain test.In the teaching of modern and contemporary prose in junior high school,it is particularly vital to enrich the accumulation of students' Chinese knowledge,broaden their scope and enhance their Chinese literacy.Therefore,theme teaching is a practical and feasible teaching mode which is helpful to the efficient implementation of modern and contemporary prose teaching in junior high school."Theme" in theme-based teaching refers to the teaching of theme-based class,which is the core of teaching content in a certain period and plays an integral role in course resources.At the same time,it runs through the whole course and plays a dominant role in the teaching process.Besides,theme teaching takes the theme as the dimension bases on the teaching material,it surpasses the teaching material with the openness and richness accompanying systematicness and the experience.In China,Dou Guimei was the first teacher to combine the concept of "theme teaching" with Chinese teaching practice.Moreover,the application of the theme teaching mode in the modern and contemporary prose teaching in junior high school conforms to the compiling concept of the unified compilation of the Chinese textbooks,which meets the requirements of the new curriculum standard and helps to improve the quality of modern and contemporary prose in junior high school.This study combines the theme teaching concept,the stylistic characteristics of prose and the requirements of the new curriculum standard on the modern and contemporary prose teaching in junior high school,also it explores the application strategy after following the implementation principle of the theme teaching.This paper establishes the teaching theme from the four aspects include scene,feeling,theory and author,designs the teaching process with the concrete articles as examples,and puts forward the practical and feasible ways to test the students' learning effect,which mainly include: enriching the test subject,clarifying the test content and refining the test method.
