As an excellent traditional sport in China,martial arts has an important significance in cultivating young people to endure hardships and establish correct values.Investing in promoting martial arts in schools is one of the means of martial arts education in primary and secondary schools across the country in recent years,but with the development of martial arts in schools,many problems have gradually come to the fore and need to be solved.On September 21,2020,the State General Administration of Sports and the Ministry of Education jointly promulgated the Opinions on Deepening the Integration of Sports and Education to Promote the Healthy Development of Youth,which provides methods and strategies for the reform and development of martial arts education in schools.The study Research methods s2 uch as literature,expert interview,questionnaire survey and logical analysis were used to study and analyze the current situation of wushu curriculum offering,teacher team construction,wushu teaching content,wushu competition and teaching venue facilities in 15 elementary school in Hongshan District,Wuhan City,to explore the development strategies of elementary school wushu curriculum,based on the current situation,find problems,explore strategies and conform to integration,to provide the development of school wushu education and The study provides new ideas and concepts for the development of school martial arts education and competitive martial arts talent pool.The results of the study show that(1)by studying the meaning and objectives of the "integration of physical education and sports" reform,we raised questions about the development of elementary school martial arts and understood the current situation of elementary school martial arts development.(2)Through the fieldwork,we learned that the factors affecting the development of elementary school martial arts in Wuhan mainly include the imperfect establishment of relevant policies and regulations,the lack of cooperation between education and sports departments,the insufficient popularization of elementary school martial arts,the lack of martial arts campus cultural activities,the lack of elementary school martial arts teachers,the backwardness of elementary school martial arts teaching contents and teaching methods,the unsoundness of elementary school martial arts competition system,the weakness of martial arts education and martial arts cultural education,and the lack of elementary school martial arts teaching facilities.These problems have directly affected the development and promotion of martial arts in elementary school.Under the general goal of "integration of sports and education",we should clarify the strategic goal of introducing martial arts into elementary school,and put forward the following countermeasures in response to the existing problems combined with the concept of "integration of sports and education" :(1)improve the relevant policies and regulations to guide the implementation in practice;(2)strengthen the collaboration between sports departments and education departments to optimize resources and eliminate barriers;(3)improve the construction of martial arts teachers and reform the employment mode of elementary school martial arts teachers;(4)reform the teaching of elementary school martial arts and enrich the construction of infrastructure;(5)improve the importance of the main body at all levels of schools;(6)improve the "popular" youth martial arts competition system.Under the background of "integration of sports and education" in the new era,the development of elementary school martial arts not only provides reserve talents for competitive martial arts,but also popularizes and inherits martial arts,which has certain significance for the sustainable development of elementary school martial arts in Wuhan.
