In the era of "knowledge economy" and "information explosion",the rapid changes of society make everyone face great challenges.Education must cultivate people who adapt to this era of rapid development.Reading ability is the basis of people's lifelong learning and the important ability of people to adapt to changes.Physical reading ability is not only the basic ability requirement for people to obtain effective information and process information in the information society,but also related to personal competitiveness.What is the current situation of students' physics reading?According to the survey of physics reading in Shijing section of Baiyun District,there are few reading materials in physics textbooks,and teachers do not pay attention to the use of these materials in class.Although teachers recognize the importance of physics reading,they will also guide students in reading methods in normal teaching,but they lack the systematic training of students' physics reading ability.Through the statistical data of students' questionnaire,we can see that students do not pay enough attention to physics reading,lack of physics reading methods,low self-efficacy of physics reading,and poor physics reading habits and ability.How to change this situation? Based on the interviews with teachers and the survey data of students,this paper analyzes the current situation of physics reading in Shijing section of Baiyun District,and puts forward the principles and teaching improvement strategies to promote the ability of physics reading.Based on these strategies,in the experimental class,from cultivating students' physics reading habits,to helping students improve reading accuracy by using various information,to improving problem-solving ability by reading training,and finally to improving students' physics thinking ability by reading,the purpose is to improve students' physics reading ability in an all-round way.Through the comparison between the experimental class and the control class,we can find that the classroom teaching strategy based on the improvement of physics reading ability has changed the students' concept of physics reading,improved the accuracy of students' information extraction,improved the students' physics academic performance,and cultivated the students' habit of lifelong reading,The teaching strategies of physics reading summarized in the research process have a certain reference value for front-line physics teachers.
