Culture plays an important role in promoting the prosperity of a nation while the last decades have witnessed the development of cultural confidence as an integrant of China.As the most basic as well as fundamental spirit power,cultural confidence must be held steadily by Chinese people.Nowadays,as reserve force of social development,high school students have never been absent in the developing creativity of culture.For their cognition is under construction yet lacking social experience,this group may be affected easily by multiculturalism as teenagers are facing global development with sophisticated struggles in the ideological field.Therefore,it has become a focus of nation and society on how to enhance the cultivation of their cultural confidence.A survey has been questioned for high school students in Zhaoqing Experiental Middle school based on 'Culture and Life' published by PEP as the textbook of senior Grade 2.This survey with individual interviews shows their status of cultural confidence,by which a conclusion adopted to find problems with advisive measures given,some source material of revolution lead by CPC in history of Zhaoqing as immission,during the course and the cultivation.There are five parts to this thesis.Part I is a conduction of the background,aims and meaning,ithe status quo,nnovation points and limitations,the logic and method of the study.Then an analysis was made on the cultivation based on related concepts and theories while another analysis of the content with teaching practice during course was also made that how the device of high school students' cultural confidence was being formed in Part II.In Part III the education value of the cultivation for high school students' cultural confidence is analyzed.In Part IV the survey is shown with interviews thereby on the status quo in cultivation is a conclusion,in which problems and reasons are analyzed.In Part V advisable measures are given,e.g.to improve the basic cultural cultivation of the overall teachers' themselves while emphasizing students as a principal role;yet to make clear that the teaching aims of cultivation of cultural confidence during cources,in which plays key roles is integrating the course with materials,innovating teaching methods with kinds of activities to help students build sound cultural confidence from the bottom of their heart that carries the cultivation out.
