In the information age, students must have good reading literacy in order to better adapt to the future information-complex environment.Reading literacy contains two levels of connotation: first, reading literacy reading is the subject's retrieval, extraction, and evaluation of reading text content information based on different reading media and reading strategies;secondly, the purpose of reading proposed by reading literacy is to improve the future society The reading skills needed in life emphasizes that students should have the different levels of reading ability that the society needs in the future.According to the connotation of the above reading literacy, the testee's reading ability is evaluated by testing the subjects' cognitive ability of reading text content and their grasp of different text types. In the process of conducting problem research with the help of PISA reading literacy test questions, after encountering a series of questions such as the calculation of the simulated truth value of the test questions and the unsatisfactory answering of the questionnaire,in order to more comprehensively and truly reflect the reading outlook of rural middle school students,so I gave up The survey data then used the PISA 2018 reading literacy test data released on the PISA official website to analyze the reading literacy status of urban and rural students in Beijing,Shanghai,Jiangsu, and Zhejiang provinces in my country, and explore the factors that affect students' reading literacy through student questionnaire data.Through the collation and analysis of official data,it is concluded that: First, the students in the rural and township areas of our country have poor reading and retrieval capabilities, comprehension, and evaluation and reflection capabilities.Second,in the source of texts, students in rural are still at a disadvantage in grasping multiple texts and single texts.Third,it is difficult for students in rural areas to reach the highest level of proficiency in reading.Fourth, through the analysis of the Sharpley value decomposition method,it is found that family factors and personal factors have a greater impact on students' reading literacy than school factors.Based on improving the reading literacy of students in villages and towns,it proposes strategies that are in line with the actual conditions of the villages and towns and are easy to implement.First, establish a student reading account to track and evaluate student reading.Second, carry out home-school co-study based on school.Third, the medium of reading text is diversified, and digital and paper reading are deeply integrated.Fourth, teachers should pay attention to the guidance of reading strategies.Fifth, teachers pay attention to cultivating students' reading ability.Sixth, pay attention to the teaching and evaluation of reading fluency.Seventh, cultivate students' good reading habits through the sense of reading ritual.
