Undoubtedly,the construction of socialist modern power cannot be separated from hundreds of millions of professionals.On January 24,2019,the State Council issued the "National Vocational Education Reform Implementation Plan",which clarified that vocational education and general education are two different types of education with the same important status.In order to realize the effective implementation of vocational education reform,in the final analysis,it is necessary to solve the problem of what kind of talents to train.In other words,the core issue lies in whether the vocational school's cultivation of students' career planning ability can meet the needs of students' own development at the present stage,so as to cultivate high-quality skilled talents needed by national development in the new era.At present,few studies have analyzed the effectiveness of cultivation of vocational students' career planning ability in vocational schools.Consequently,based on the existing literature,the author first made an in-depth investigation on the status quo of career planning ability of secondary vocational school students on the premise of learning from the research results related to the cultivation of career planning ability of secondary vocational school students at home and abroad.Secondly,through the research,this paper deeply discusses the related factors that restrict secondary vocational school students from improving their career planning ability,and puts forward the suggestions aimed at improving their career planning ability.In short,this study is dedicated to providing valuable reference for achieving the goal of vocational education reform in the new era,and promoting the professional development of secondary vocational school students,as well as cultivating high-level skilled talents urgently needed by all walks of life.Taking Guangzhou S Vocational School as an example,this paper explores the current situation and exposed problems related to the cultivation of vocational students' career planning ability.In addition,this paper mainly uses questionnaire survey method and supplemented by interview survey method to investigate the research objects.During this process,on the one hand,questionnaires are adopted to understand the current situation of career planning ability of secondary vocational school students,including students' self-cognition and cognition of major and vocation,the intensity and ability of students' awareness of career planning,and students' evaluation of vocational guidance education provided by schools.On the other hand,with the help of interview survey,this paper not only intends to explore the perplexity of secondary vocational school students in the current career planning process,but also intends to explore the possible influence of teachers,parents,enterprises,schools and other related roles on the vocational career planning ability of secondary vocational school students.Through processing and analyzing the collected survey data,this paper further summarizes the causes of the existing problems of cultivation of vocational students' career planning ability in Guangzhou S Vocational School,and the existing problems as well as corresponding causes of students' career planning education in secondary vocational schools.Furthermore,this paper draws the following conclusions.First of all,although vocational school career education has been highly valued with achieving excellent results,there are still some common problems in its development process,including: a)students' incomplete cognition of career planning;b)The degree of specialization of teachers is not high;c)The effect of cultivation of vocational students' career planning ability is not ideal;d)Insufficient participation of social forces.Secondly,the factors affecting cultivation of vocational students' career planning ability can be divided into two categories,among which students' self-cognition and cognition of major and vocation as well as their psychological status are students internal influencing factors,while the social participation degree of vocational guidance education and the factors related to schools and teachers are the external influencing actors.Based on the analysis of the current situation and causes of cultivation of vocational students' career planning ability the author puts forward the following four recommendations to improve the career planning ability of secondary vocational school students,including: 1)to improve students' ability to fully recognize career planning;2)to strengthen the construction of school teaching staff;3)to innovate the management model of cultivation of vocational students' career planning ability in schools;4)to mobilize social forces to participate in vocational guidance education.
