Modern prose,as an important part of Chinese reading teaching in junior high school,has the characteristics of both quality and beauty.Students learning modern prose can not only enjoy the beauty,broaden their horizons,and enlighten the soul,but also improve their thinking ability and aesthetic appreciation of literary works.But in the actual teaching,many teachers do not grasp the teaching content of modern prose accurately,fail to highlight the characteristics of prose language beauty,emotional beauty and artistic conception beauty,and ignore the cultivation of students' emotional consciousness.Therefore,this study grasps the characteristic of "situation" in modern prose itself,and tries to integrate the problem situation into the modern prose teaching in junior high school,which provides a useful attempt for the teaching of this style.Firstly,this paper gives a theoretical overview of the connotation,principles and teaching functions of problem situation creation,and combines the problem situation with junior high school modern prose to explore the fit between the two.Secondly,some students and teachers of L City J Middle School are the research objects,and through questionnaire,interview and classroom observation,we can understand the current situation of problem creation in modern prose teaching in junior high school.The survey results show that the main problems are: the creation of problem situations is out of the content of prose teaching,the creation of problem situations is not at the right time,the creation of problem situations lacks novelty,etc.The key reason for these problems is that teachers underestimate the creation of problem situations in modern prose,and the problem situation creation.The created teaching function is one-sided and lacks the ability to create problem situations.Based on the analysis of the status quo,combined with the rich emotions and profound artistic conception of modern prose,this research attempts to put forward the principles that should be followed in creating problem situations in the teaching of modern prose in junior high schools: the emotional principle,the living principle,the authenticity principle and the suitability principle.Accordingly,it puts forward the strategy of creating problem situation,which mainly includes three aspects: First,clear teaching content,pay attention to aesthetic appreciation.Focus on the taste of personalized speech expression,pay attention to personalized speech form,understand the author's unique feelings,transfer and use the language knowledge in the text;second,timely cut into the problem,promote the development of thinking.Third,we should excavate teaching resources and create new ideas.In order to improve the teaching effect of modern prose in junior middle school,we should make effective use of daily life events,titles and keywords of articles,writing clues,abnormal details,role play and teaching materials in the media to highlight the problem situation.
