History comes into being in specific time and space.As one of the five key historical competences,the concept of time and space differentiates history from and other disciplines essentially.It is the basis for students to understand and learn history,which is of significant importance in junior high school history teaching.Junior high school is the initial stage of history learning,during which we attach great importance to and implement the cultivation of the concept of time and space,which plays a fundamental role in the improvement of students' deep learning and historical thinking ability in senior high school.After consulting and sorting out the relevant literature,based on the history textbooks compiled by Ministry of Education and combined with personal teaching practice,this paper has a superficial discussion on the cultivation of the concept of time and space in history teaching in junior junior high school.This paper is mainly divided in to four parts:the first part,introduction,mainly explains the background of topic selection,summarizes the current status of research,demonstrates the significance of this study,illustrates the research ideas as well as approaches and defines such concepts as historical time,historical sequence,concept of historical space and historical space-time concept.The second part explains the importance of cultivating the concept of time and space in junior high school history teaching,which could be explained from the following three aspects,requirements of curriculum standards,the characteristics of history,and historical competences.The third part expounds the cultivation approaches of space-time concept in junior high school history teaching,respectively from students' and teachers' perspectives.First of all,the establishment of a correct space-time concept and the improvement of understanding subjectivity are in great request from the students' perspective.In the next place,students are also supposed to be familiar with the expression of historical time as well as space,and be capable of conversing the historical time,identifying the historical space,making used of historical maps in wisely and retaining the memories of time with timeline,chronology,mind maps.What's more,students' space-time concept should be gradually acquired by taking advantages of the textbooks,online multimedia and material resources in life actively.As for teachers' perspective,Lesson 16 Tripartite and Confrontation of Three Kingdoms of the history textbook compiled by Ministry of Education of the seventh grade(Volume One)shows their teaching strategies based on the concept of time and space,which is mainly concerned with the formulation of teaching objectives,the design of teaching process and the writing of teaching reflection.The fourth part makes a preliminary understanding of the requirements of space-time concept in senior high school entrance examination by analyzing questions on the concept of time and space on senior high school entrance examination papers of Guiyang from 2019 to 2020.These requirements include the expression of historical time and space,the orientation of historical time and space,the characteristics of historical stages and the comparison of historical time and space.On this basis,this paper summarizes the strategy of history review for senior high school entrance examination from the perspective of space-time concept.To start with,students are led to set up review goals and plans,which makes it more efficient for teachers to cultivate students' space-time concepts according to their different grades.Then in the unit review,we pay attention to the construction of historical time sequence thinking,and use the comparison of historical time and space in the thematic review.The third part and the fourth part of the discussion provide reference for junior high school history teaching practice,where lies the practical application value of this study.
