It is one of the important contents of the 14th five year plan to compete for the position of economic power by scientific and technological innovation.It is an important means to train innovative talents with scientific literacy.The ability of scientific inquiry is an important embodiment of their scientific literacy,so it has become an important content of educational reform.In 2017,scientific inquiry once again became one of the core contents of the curriculum standards of Science in senior high schools,and biology was no exception.Practice and inquiry are considered to be the important carrier of the implementation of this accomplishment.This study aims to cultivate students' scientific inquiry ability by using 5E Teaching Mode as strategy based on inquiry,collection,sorting and induction analysis of literature.Taking a middle school in Lingao County of Hainan Province as a practical school,and sending questionnaires to teachers of practical school,we can understand the current situation of how the biology teachers in the school using 5E Teaching Mode to cultivate students' scientific inquiry ability;In this study,two classes with similar aspects are selected from senior one students as experimental class and control class.To understand the effect of 5E Teaching Mode on the cultivation of students' scientific inquiry ability,the study respectively adopts 5E Teaching Mode and traditional teaching mode in the two classes,issue questionnaire of scientific inquiry ability,carry out the pre-test and post-test,and at the same time,evaluate the students' scientific inquiry ability with the test questions,and interview the students in the middle of the experiment.Through statistical analysis of questionnaire data,test results,interview results,etc.,the paper explores the effect of 5E Teaching Mode on students' scientific inquiry ability.The results show that there is no significant difference in the scientific inquiry ability between the experimental class and the control class before the experiment.After the experiment,the scientific inquiry ability of the experimental class and the control class is significantly improved than before.At the same time,the scientific inquiry ability of the experimental class students is significantly higher than that of the control class,which shows that the students in the experimental class are significantly higher in the ability of putting forward questions,designing and operating the experiment,analyzing and proving the conclusion,as well as the ability of reflection and innovation.Further in-depth statistical analysis finds that the students in the experimental class mainly show that they are good at putting forward problems,designing experiments independently,paying attention to the rigor and accuracy of experimental operation,improving and optimizing experiments,and active logical reasoning and critical thinking.The results show that the application of 5E Teaching Mode in biology teaching can effectively improve the students' scientific inquiry ability.Innovation:1.Evaluate the development of students' scientific inquiry ability in quantitative way,and analyze the improvement of students' scientific inquiry ability at different levels in the traditional teaching and 5E Teaching mode.2.Compile the scientific inquiry ability examination questions based on the specific situation to evaluate the students' scientific inquiry ability objectively and reasonably.
