Howard Gardner,a famous American psychologist and educator,put forward the theory of multiple intelligence in 1980 s,which was introduced into China at the end of the 20 th century.In recent years,the theory of multiple intelligence has been widely used in the field of education because of its strong combination of disciplines,practicability and operability,which also provides advanced theoretical support for the development of China’s education.In the aspect of physical education,through the guidance of the theory of multiple intelligence and the application to the teaching practice,it has also achieved remarkable results and provided a new idea for the reform of physical education curriculum.Guided by the theory of multiple intelligence,through the analysis of the theory of multiple intelligence,and the particularity of soccer class and junior high school students’ mastery of football skills,the combination of exploit soccer program and student individual multiple intelligence factors,make the two organic combine,found in the practice of teaching can help students to study effectively,promote the development of the intelligent,improve the overall quality,In this way,students can not only master solid basic skills,but also improve their understanding of football concept,enhance their team consciousness and social adaptability,so as to promote the all-round development of students’ basic skills,physical quality,volition-quality and other aspects in football class.On the basis of sorting out and summarizing the existing research on the theory of multiple intelligence,this paper combines the theory of multiple intelligence with football classroom teaching by means of literature research,questionnaire survey,expert interview and mathematical statistics,and conducts an empirical study on two classes of students in Grade 3 of a middle school in Y City.The experimental class adopts the football classroom teaching guided by the theory of multiple intelligence,while the control class adopts the traditional football teaching.Through the comparative analysis of the collected data,the following conclusions are drawn:1.Introduce the theory of multiple intelligence in junior high school football teaching in sports power is the requirement of time.The eight intelligent teaching design can not only broaden the football a variety of ideas of classroom teaching,improve the comprehensive quality of students,but also promote quality education reform and education innovation.2.According to the test data after the teaching experiment,there are significant differences between the control class and the experimental class in the intelligence scores of language intelligence,mathematical and logical intelligence,physical and motor intelligence,spatial intelligence,introspective intelligence and interpersonal intelligence(P<0.01).It shows that the football classroom teaching in junior high school under the guidance of the theory of multiple intelligence has an obvious effect on the improvement of the above intelligence.However,there is no significant difference in music intelligence(P>0.05),which indicates that the application of music intelligence has not achieved the ideal teaching effect.Because the application time of musical intelligence in football classroom teaching is less than that of other intelligence,and the practice time is limited,the role of musical intelligence will be weakened,and eventually the application effect of musical intelligence does not play a good role.3.According to the scores of students’ skill tests after the teaching experiment,there are significant differences between the control class and the experimental class in the skill evaluation scores of the five teaching contents: dribbling around the bar,dribbling to shoot,oblique pass through two,position selection and marking,and football rules.It shows that the football classroom teaching under the guidance of the theory of multiple intelligence has a significant effect on the students’ grasp of football skills and the improvement of theoretical results.4.The football classroom teaching in junior high school guided by the theory of multiple intelligence can effectively promote the improvement of students’ multiple intelligence,football skills and football theory scores,which plays a positive role in improving the classroom teaching effect,and provide new ideas for the development of football classroom teaching and the improvement of teaching quality.
