Under the new situation of constantly advancing the reform of basic education,the comprehensive improvement of the comprehensive quality of junior high school students puts forward higher requirements for our classroom teaching.It requires teachers to focus on embodying the students' dominant position in actual teaching,and cultivate their innovative ability and critical thinking,which will become the new challenge we are facing in the current classroom teaching reform.Under this kind of educational situation,debating teaching,as a teaching method with students as the main body and characterized by reverse thinking and divergent thinking,has attracted widespread attention in academic circles.While maintaining the dominant status of students,it can effectively play the guiding role of teachers,discussing issues around the subject with the positive and negative sides as a unit,allowing students to cooperate,exchange and learn in a democratic and equal classroom atmosphere.On the basis of researching related theories of debate-based teaching,the author selects the lesson "It's not just the body that grows up" from the junior high school morals and rule of law textbooks as a teaching example.Through personal teaching,the author found that the classroom teaching of morality and rule of law Effective use of debate-based teaching is conducive to highlighting the student's dominant position,improving students' language expression ability,and cultivating students' critical thinking and innovative consciousness;conducive to clarifying the guiding role of teachers,improving teachers' teaching level,and updating teachers' teaching concepts;conducive to increasing classroom vitality and vitality,To promote the integration of knowledge of various disciplines.Through investigation and interviews on the application of debate-based teaching in junior high school ethics and the rule of law,the author found that there are still problems in using debate-based teaching in the lesson "It's not just the body that grows up",including teachers' lack of experience in classroom implementation and students' own limitations.The school lacks scientific debating evaluation indicators and so on.In view of the current problems in the application of debate-based teaching in the teaching of "Ethics and the Rule of Law" in junior high schools,the author proposes the following optimization strategies: teachers should maintain the student's dominant position and improve their own professional quality;understand the students' cognitive level,and formulate the defense scientifically and reasonably Topic;Strengthen the rules of debate activities,reflect on the sublimation of the results of the debate.Students need to learn knowledge through multiple channels,strive to improve their cognitive level;improve personal psychological quality,and consciously manage emotional changes.Schools should improve the evaluation mechanism,do a good job in teacher professional training;expand the available resources in the school,and actively practice quality education.
