China's Ministry of Education issued the outline of basic education curriculum reform(Trial Implementation)in June 2001,which mentioned the need to implement a three-level curriculum management system.Since then,local curriculum has attracted much attention and become a hot issue in the field of education.In essence,the main purpose of local curriculum development is to use the rich local advantageous resources and integrate these resources into the curriculum system,so that students can expand their horizons while learning local knowledge and promote the inheritance of local culture.As a curriculum with culture as the carrier,music curriculum itself has unique advantages in cultural inheritance and cultural education.Therefore,how to integrate local cultural inheritance with local music curriculum development has become a problem worthy of research and thinking.Suzhou is one of the first famous historical and cultural cities in China.Its local music is rich in content and unique in style.It is an important part of the treasure house of Chinese music.However,in recent years,under the background of multi-cultural integration and foreign cultural infiltration,the traditional music culture in Suzhou local music has been gradually assimilated and digested,and the protection of unique music culture is becoming more and more important.This article attempts to build Suzhou characteristic culture with the help of the carrier of local music curriculum in middle school,so as to carry forward China's excellent traditional culture.
